In the morning, a wonderful breakfast, once again shared with our hosts in their dining room with a great view of the harbor of Napier. It's just incredible how hospitable and loving the people here are. Departure for the guided tour of Cape Kidnappers and visit to the gannet colonies. These are the largest of their kind in the whole world. The journey there alone was an adventure, but also breathtaking. You can only access the Cape Kidnappers area with a guided tour or on foot (about 20 km). By the way, you can also stay in a luxury lodge here from $2800 per night.
The gannet colonies were incredibly impressive, just the way the birds all sat lined up with their beaks in the wind, the landscape there was also phenomenal, you have to say that the birds have chosen a beautiful place in the world.
Definitely an absolute must do, the tour was really fun with our guide Tony.
In the afternoon, a rather unspectacular journey to Wellington, our last stop on the North Island.
