Sometimes the journey isn't the destination, but the person at the end of the road.
So today I am traveling to a good colleague who has invited me to an open sauna door day. Crossing through the central region, unremarkable but reliable, that is ALSO public transport in Switzerland.
However, the S5 has a unique feature that occasionally causes a commotion. In one composition, carriages with different destinations are coupled together. One part goes to Neuchâtel, the other to Murten. So, be careful when boarding. In Kerzers, the train is split, and now the chaff (the occasional public transport user) separates from the wheat (the public transport professionals). 😊
In Erlach, I make my way to the harbor. There, Sibylle runs her sauna float. Today marks the beginning of the season, and I'm excited to check it out.
With enthusiasm, she tells me about her heartfelt project. Obstacles had to be overcome, doubts set aside, 7-day weeks, and a lot of entrepreneurial freedom and corresponding risk. But from her radiant smile, one can tell that it has been worth it. I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed for her!
So, after this quick stop, it's back to Bern. A dinner that I have been looking forward to all week will round off the day.
