In the past week, only Keith, Ben, and the two of us as volunteers are left in the clinic. With five less people in the treatment room, some peace has returned because Lydia, Anton, Esther, Francis, and Danuta have already left on Sunday.
Thanks to Ben, there is now a central suction system, he has done a lot to improve the clinic in the past week. What he would most like to do is stated in the headline. He tells us that the pipes and everything else in the building are rather poorly laid out and that he would have to lay everything anew to do it properly.
It's similar with us, because the treatments are, as always, symptom-based and only aim to relieve the patients from pain. Unfortunately, there is a lack of patient cooperation, time, and resources to fight the causes.
On the last day of our internship, we are invited to an audience with the highest monk. He tells us a little about the origin of the project and thanks us for our work there. He even presents us with a certificate and a large bouquet of flowers with good wishes for the future.
