The last night was the worst I spent during my time in Sweden. It was storming heavily and there was a thunderstorm directly above me. I had the feeling at times that my tent would simply fly away. That's why I kept waking up intermittently. Around 3 o'clock it was at its worst and I woke up again when a pole from the awning crashed onto my leg. I jumped up and had no choice but to go outside to secure the tent properly. Luckily, I still had my raincoat in the tent. While the storm was raging directly above me, I had to secure the pegs back into the ground and then climb back into my cozy sleeping bag and try to sleep again.
When I woke up in the morning, I first checked if everything was still secure and if the tent hadn't been damaged. Luckily, everything was intact!
But when I started to take down the tent, the disillusionment set in. It was still very windy. When I was taking out the pole of the awning, it flew out of my hand and the lower part of the tent completely tore off. Great, now I had a broken tent! The day started off great...
I packed up the rest and headed to Linköping, hoping to find a new tent there. Luckily, I found a good tent at Intersport for around €230.
I also took a look at the city center and the cathedral in Linköping. The city is nice, but nothing special.
Then I headed to the campsite and set up my newly purchased tent. At first, I had a little trouble as it was completely different from my old tent, but I still managed to set it up relatively quickly.
Then the day was already over. I read a bit and then went to sleep.
