At half past 10 and after 40 km we finally have breakfast.

Day of the Snake

We have already seen 2 live snakes and countless dead ones on the roadside, but today we encountered 3 live ones on the road!

1 big black one and 2 smaller ones...

Unfortunately, the surprise was so great that we forgot to take a picture.

Friday 27.10 (67 km/725 hm)

On the way to Lampang we meet Johannes who is traveling through Asia for half a year and taking pictures. I think we will meet again in Laos.

In Lampang we find the cheap hotel for only 260 Baht (6.50 Euro) so far. MEGA

We are picked up by 'Best' (

we promised to notify him when we are in Lampang) and his wife by car and invited for dinner.

There are various Thai dishes, including steamed fish.

Afterwards, we are driven to all the sights where we take diligent couple photos ..

(we took so many photos that evening that wouldn't even be taken in half a year)

They ask us what we are doing the next day, and when we say that we are continuing to cycle, they are really disappointed... They have already planned the day...

So we decide to stay one more night...

After we have driven 'Best's wife home, we have a good drink with him...

Saturday 28.10

16:30 drive to the temple, pray, get blessings from the monk, take couple photos

17:30 Nightmarket

'Best' buys us something to eat at almost every stand that we absolutely have to try

Really soooo nice of him - also that he took the time.
