So, a lot of time has passed since our last entry. In the meantime, a lot has happened. As you can see from the quote, we celebrated Veronika's birthday on Monday.
But let's start from the beginning:
On September 15th, we picked up Nelli, Veronika's mother, from the airport.
In the evening, we were invited to Xenia's for dinner. At Xenia's On September 16th, Veronika and Nelli went to the 'Kontinent', which is a shopping center. Mom & Daughter In the evening, we invited Alexandra and her mother Irina to our place for dinner.Sunday, September 17th, was a special day. First, we visited the house/apartment where Vero grew up. And in the afternoon, we went to the ice hockey game Avangard Omsk vs. Jugra Chanty-Mansijsk. Seeing the area where Veronika grew up was really interesting. In front of the house, we approached two older ladies who even let us into the house. When we stood in front of the apartment door, the next door neighbor came by. It was the same woman as 26 years ago! She kindly let us take a look into her apartment as well (which is exactly the same layout as the neighbor's apartment).Vero alone in front of the house Hk Avantgard Omsk plays in the highest Russian league and ice hockey is the most popular sport in Omsk. It was a blast watching the game, so yesterday (September 19th) we went to the Omsk arena again to watch a youth team from Avangard.
Here's the obligatory selfie after the game
On September 18th, which was Vero's birthday, we celebrated in a small circle with some cake. We already have more activities planned for the weekend :-)However, the weather here is slowly becoming very autumn-like and we are already looking forward to our home in Germany. Greetings from Omsk, from Nelli and Vero & Tim
