Today I had the Graffiti Street Art Tour on my agenda. Instead of the scheduled 2 hours, it turned into 3.5 hours and I could take a lot of photos. Valpo is colorful, loud, chaotic but also very interesting.
For example, German immigrants founded the first voluntary fire brigade here. It was strange to discover a German fire truck here.
The Bismarck Square on Avenida Allemania did not go unnoticed by me.
These elevators, Ascensores, which can save you from steep climbs, are a bit suspicious to me (typical German?). But since I was in a group, I went up anyway.
Unfortunately, the visibility was bad again today, hazy. But never mind. Let's continue. At the end of the tour, I really wanted to take one of those trolleybuses. They have been in Chile since 1952, but today they are only found here in Valparaíso. I discovered a little green oasis, got off at the next traffic light and enjoyed a delicious ice cream in the mini park with my feet up...they deserved it 😉
Lastly, I have been walking so much with my mother on the Camino de Santiago. And with a heavy backpack. It's been a while.
