Hi all
Of course, it doesn't work with the train - how could it be otherwise? It wouldn't be us :).
Exactly on the route we wanted to use, it is not possible to take the motorcycle....
So today it was: wake up at 7 am and get on the motorcycle! Well, by the time we checked out and actually started riding, it was already 9 am *embarrassedlook*
But today's route was really fantastic! There were two ways: along the sea and through the interior of the country. One of the locals advised us to ride through the interior, as there is much less traffic there. That sounded great! In addition, we could avoid the "dangerous zone". And indeed, there were very few other vehicles there. We rode through fields and forests, past reservoirs and over beautiful mountain passes. Every now and then we took a break and gathered new energy.
We also made a visit to the workshop, because a bushing on my motorcycle was completely worn out. This caused the rear wheel to have a lot of play and it was no longer really pleasant to ride.
Then we continued. After about five hours of riding, we decided to break off for today. We found a hotel about 25 minutes away and headed straight for it. It was already 6 pm and we were exhausted. But: The staff insisted that despite the booking confirmation, there were no available rooms! Come on! There are hardly any tourists left here! Besides, we are in the middle of nowhere. Man, they got a really bad online review from us! Everyone always comes up with the same excuse "no more rooms", this lying is really getting on my nerves.... Oh well... We drove to the next hotel, which fortunately was only two minutes away, and were unexpectedly greeted warmly. The lady at the reception was so friendly and uncomplicated! It felt really good! By the way, they will also get a review - but a positive one :).
Today we had a travel time of 5.5 hours and covered a total of 238 kilometers :).
It's slowly getting really uncomfortable here... We are in close contact with our newly acquired German friends - it's the same problem everywhere in Vietnam... We will probably move to Ho Chi Minh as soon as possible and fly back to Thailand. It's supposed to be better there at the moment...
In any case, we'll keep you posted - you'll hear from us again tomorrow!
See you then
Oh, and the pictures will follow - promised!
