今天我们进行了一个包括咖啡种植园参观在内的安提瓜一日游。我们很幸运，因为只有我们两个人，因此我们的向导路易斯完全为我们服务。他直接从酒店接我们，然后我们先去咖啡种植园。在参观后，我们还品尝了咖啡。

之后我们直接前往安提瓜。这座城市因其西班牙殖民时期的建筑而闻名。那天人流如织，许多游客都是从游轮上来的！

星期二晚上，我们从圣何塞飞往危地马拉城，抵达危地马拉的首都。危地马拉是中美洲人口最多的国家，人口达1720万。其中112万居民生活在首都。这是拉丁美洲犯罪率最高的国家之一。起初我有些怀疑，因为人们常常说不应该携带贵重物品，并且要避免某些区域（在危地马拉城中称为区域）。老实说，我在这里感到比在尼加拉瓜更安全。在欧洲的大城市中也有类似的地方需要避免，在那里人们也并非安全！！！这里的人们非常友好和乐于助人。在市场里选购时，即使不购买也不会受到无礼的骚扰。

我们今天乘坐城市公共汽车，也叫地铁巴士。在车站购买单程票，价格不到12美分。在一个上车地点，我们询问一名员工哪里可以买票，因为我们找不到自动售票机。当她注意到我们西班牙语说得不太好，而她又完全不懂英语时，她就让我们在没有付费的情况下直接上了车。

The relatively short onward journey from Santa Ana and the border crossing to Guatemala went rather smoothly (except for some shady character who tried to rip me off during the currency exchange), and after the overcrowded chicken bus finally fought through the disastrous city traffic of Guatemala City, I arrived in Antigua in the evening, where Colin was already waiting for me. We checked in at the Tropicana Hostel. I had stayed here a few years ago, and the hostel features friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a rooftop terrace with a wonderful view. In good weather conditions, one can even see the eruptions of the home volcano, Fuego, which is already impressive from a distance.

But not only the scenery is special here; the city of Antigua (formerly the capital of Guatemala) has much to offer. Nestled in a picturesque valley and surrounded by the three volcanoes Acatenango, Agua, and Fuego, the city is bursting with colonial charm. Colorful facades, majestic churches, and endless cobblestone streets give Antigua a truly unique flair. With numerous bars, restaurants, galleries, and other cultural endeavors, the city attracts countless visitors from all over the world every year, probably making it the ultimate tourist hotspot in Guatemala. Although its popularity and proximity to the capital significantly raise the price level, it is simply incredibly beautiful here, and one could easily spend a long time, especially considering the seemingly endless options for activities and excursions in the surrounding area.

After spending the first two days strolling through the city, playing pool, and enjoying beer in one of the countless bars, we planned to head up to Volcano Acatenango on the third day, a trek I had already completed during my last visit to Guatemala but couldn’t fully enjoy. One of the tacos I had devoured in Mexico City did not sit well, and I had to tackle the ascent back then with considerable stomach problems. Though I made it to the summit of Acatenango (which stands at 3,976 m), I could only partially enjoy the whole journey there and especially the spectacular eruptions of the neighboring Fuego volcano. This time, it was meant to be without restrictions as we climbed the fiery mountain, and I was optimistic that it would work out. Another little highlight awaited us on the evening before the ascent at the hostel. While we had already met various characters during the previous days, we also got acquainted with Wyatt, a laid-back and quite nice American who could play an unbelievably vast repertoire of songs on his guitar (which he had bought somewhere in Guatemala). It seemed like every classic or evergreen was expertly played by Wyatt without him batting an eye. Absolutely impressive and, of course, a great mood booster, especially in pleasant gatherings filled with new acquaintances. On that fateful evening, the remaining guests of Tropicana gathered in a cozy corner after a few drinks, and Wyatt strummed one song after another on his guitar. Keeping him company was, among others, a pretty wild Canadian woman, and the two became more flirtatious and cuddly as they enjoyed their drinks and songs. It was a wonderful spectacle to observe, eventually culminating in the Canadian woman unpacking a tattoo machine and offering her skills to the group. Skeptical due to the woman’s quite intoxicated state, most of the attendees immediately declined, but Wyatt was evidently intrigued by the idea and offered his thigh as a canvas for a piece of art. The lady wasted no time and immediately started painting. And yes, what unfolded next was an absolutely delicious spectacle for the uninvolved observers. Wyatt sat on a sort of garden bench, played his guitar while the lady was defacing his leg. Really, it can’t be said any differently: I have no clue if it was just due to her inebriated state, but the execution and application were truly horrendous. It felt like an eternity before the design was applied to the skin; the lines were crooked and skewed, and there were multiple instances of the tattoo being redone. She constantly slipped with her hand and her entire forearm ended up over the freshly tattooed area. Terrible, and aside from the craftsmanship aspect, even to this day, I am not sure what the design was actually supposed to represent (I’ve attached a photo for reference). Wyatt endured the bodily harm with grace, and the tattoo just kept getting bigger and uglier. Fortunately, it ended up being just that one design, and while they embraced closely on the bench after completing the artistically so high-quality piece of work, I would have loved to see Wyatt's facial expression the following morning, once his sober mind realized what he would have to carry with him from then on. Haha, simply delightful and shocking at the same time – but yeah, those who suffer the damage indeed have nothing to fear regarding mockery.

With a grin and a shake of my head, I went to bed, and the next morning after a short night, we had breakfast at 7:00 AM and then drove to the foot of Acatenango, from where the group was to set off. 23 people gathered for the ascent, and I was briefly startled by the size of the group (during the last ascent to the volcano, we were only 11 people). Ultimately, the group size was not a problem; everyone was fairly relaxed, and we quickly made new connections. From the start in the valley, it would take almost 6 hours to reach the base camp on the slope of Acatenango, steadily climbing upwards. The trek is steep in places, but (in my opinion) absolutely doable in terms of difficulty. Also, many long breaks are taken, so one doesn’t really reach their physical limits. After starting in an idyllic landscape of fields and farms, the path gradually gets steeper and winds first through dense pine and then through cloud forests. The chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves are very pleasant companions, and as the air becomes cooler and fresher with increasing altitude, the view opens more with every step, finally revealing the surrounding volcanoes beyond the treeline. At least in theory; in practice, it was quite cloudy today, and only occasionally could one enjoy a view into the valley. A girl from our group was now making her way up to Acatenango for the second time within a week because she hadn’t seen anything during her first ascent and didn’t want to leave Guatemala without catching a glimpse of Fuego. She looked up at the sky with concern a few times, and I reassured her not to worry while telling her about my almost eerie connection with the weather god on my travels.

Around 5 PM, we eventually reached the base camp at Acatenango, from which one can also enjoy the famous view of the fire-spitting Fuego – and indeed we got to witness that. Though the weather was still not optimal, the cloud cover opened at regular intervals, granting us a clear view of the main attraction up here. The guides assigned us a spot in the two-story wooden structure, and we stored our luggage. During my first visit here five years ago, there were only very few makeshift accommodation options – I can only recall 2 or 3. That has changed significantly, and along the slopes of Acatenango, various accommodations run by different tour providers stretch out. Almost like a small settlement, one can stay here in various comfort and price levels. We had booked the basic option, which was completely sufficient, and with a sleeping mat and a thick sleeping bag, it was quite adequate for the environment here on the mountain. It should cost around 60 euros for the trek – all inclusive – a fair price, I think. For about 18 euros more, you can spontaneously decide, depending on the weather conditions, to take an additional trek to Fuego and have the chance to get within a few hundred meters of the fire-spewing crater. Our guide asked the group for interested parties for this extra hike, and part of the group opted for the adventurous variant to explore Fuego up close. I also said a clear yes; when one is here and has the opportunity to get so close to the crater of one of the Earth's most active volcanoes, one should definitely take it.

After a short rest in the camp, about 20 minutes later, a group of approximately 10 people set out for Fuego while the rest stayed with one of the guides in the camp. Our guide pointed out the fairly high difficulty level of the extra hike and reminded everyone to bring weather-resistant clothing; although it was currently dry, the weather on the mountain can change quite rapidly.

As the fiery mountain in the background drew attention with several huge jets of ash and smoke, we descended steeply into the valley on a fairly steep path. At times, the descent could only be accomplished with concentrated climbing, and I was already dreading the return journey up the same path, and in the dark. After about 45 minutes, we reached the valley between the two mountains; night fell, and in the dusk, the harbingers of a thunderstorm made themselves known. Just before reaching the valley, the sky was lit up brilliantly by the lightning, and it rumbled loudly. We paused briefly in the wooded area, and the weather situation worsened. While the intervals between the thunder and lightning were still relatively long at first, they drastically shortened, and we seemed to be unlucky as the thunderstorm was now incredibly close.

Our guide conveyed the impression that everything was still within limits and safe, and we began the final ascent. After a while, the sky lit up continuously, and it cracked and boomed at a volume I had never heard during a thunderstorm before. No idea if this is characteristic of a volcanic cone, but the situation was definitely becoming increasingly frightening. Several small groups came down from Fuego and unanimously claimed that the weather up top was catastrophic and that one could see absolutely nothing. I repeatedly gathered the same information, and a guide who had just come down from the mountain advised us to abort – a terrible thunderstorm was raging at the summit, too much electricity in the air, and this entire endeavor was too dangerous under these conditions. Puhhh – great prospects and a completely uncomfortable scenario. I consulted with the others in our group; as our guide also thought we could continue to ascend, we decided to keep going. To be honest, I wasn’t exactly comfortable, and I also remembered a story from my last visit here: A guide had told me then that there had been fatalities on these tours, and when I inquired about the cause, it included “lightning strike.” Damn it, why did that come back to me just now? But in the interest of transparency, I shared this information with the group. Unbelievingly, we slowly climbed further up the slope; it was pouring, the wind blew dust and ash into our faces, and after each lightning strike followed a loud murmur among the group – we were in the midst of a thunderstorm, and it was genuinely terrifying. At that moment, I honestly didn’t know if I fully trusted the guide anymore. And although I didn’t think he would intentionally put his group in danger, my gut feeling told me that this was no longer a relaxed situation, and the faces and reactions of the other expedition participants only reinforced my impression. I have no idea how long we crawled up the mountain; due to the extremely uncomfortable situation, I lost sense of time and space and was just trying to convince myself that nothing was going to happen, while the lightning struck nearby in the surrounding slopes. Eventually, we reached the dusty ground of the summit, and while we were still caught in that dreadful thunderstorm, the clouds behind us parted, revealing the view down into the valley, where we saw the lights of Antigua shimmering in the distance. A surreal sight, and except for the town behind us, we could see nothing else in front. We advanced in monotonous steps; only the shimmering of headlamps was visible through the dense cloud cover while the lightning continuously illuminated the sky. For a brief moment, I wondered why I was even putting myself through this mess, and probably as an absolute joke, since there was no chance of seeing Fuego, lava, and fire at that moment. At some point, our guide said we should stop for a moment, and the group gathered as we stared into the void together, mocking this ridiculous situation with a sense of morbid humor. While it continued to illuminate and crash around us, suddenly, out of nowhere, Colin jumped down the slope with a great leap, emitting some kind of sound. “Fuck,” I heard him scream several times, and while I laughed (yes, the action came unexpectedly and completely out of nowhere, so I really couldn’t help but laugh) inquiring after my friend's well-being, Colin said he briefly thought he had been struck by lightning. I was completely confused, and Colin mentioned that a drop of water located on his hood in front of his face began to glow, and this was perhaps a sign of an impending lightning strike. No idea what to make of that statement; it certainly didn’t improve my sense of well-being, and while I continued staring into the cloud cover, I heard my name being called loudly from the background. I turned around, and Colin beckoned me over to him and the guide while he incredulously gazed at the trekking poles our guide was holding. As he held one of the poles up, the metallic tip actually began to glow. What the fuck – I had never seen anything like that before, and it was somehow both fascinating and frightening, a clear indication of how much electrical charge was in the atmosphere up here. A wild occurrence for sure, and likely the same phenomenon as the glowing drop of water on Colin's hood. Colin was not entirely wrong in his assessment, by the way. This phenomenon is called St. Elmo's Fire and clearly indicates that the environment is very highly electrically charged and that a lightning strike could be imminent.

I thought it would be a good idea to spend the waiting time (for whatever) squatting down, and after a while, the storm weakened, and we even caught glimpses of the ash plume on the horizon. We now moved a few hundred meters closer to the summit, and the cloud cover became slightly more transparent. Eventually, our guide halted the group and stated that we had now stepped within approximately 150 meters of the crater of Fuego. The outlines of the summit cone became visible; the storm had subsided, and we could now only perceive the glow of the sky from a distance. From this point, the situation became significantly more relaxed, and after a few more minutes, the entire cloud cover opened up, providing a clearer view of Fuego. Incredible – and while numerous groups in the days prior had seen almost nothing, and the hikers we passed on their way back were all long-faced, we had caught the perfect timing, with the summit now clearly revealing its full splendor. Minute by minute, Fuego erupted, spitting fire into the sky more or less violently, and with loud astonishment, we watched lava flows cascade down the slopes of the volcano. For over an hour, we observed this surreal spectacle, and it was more than a fitting reward for the frightening journey up here. With such special natural phenomena, one can never get enough, and with each eruption, we gawked in awe at the powers and the show this mountain put on for visitors. And once again, the weather had been kind; by now, it's almost a bit eerie how it always seems to align perfectly, but of course, one can only be grateful when it does. Perfect! Eventually, we got moving again, as the return journey obviously also had to be tackled, and that meant: descending completely from Fuego and climbing back up Acatenango to the base camp. Exhausting, but after the view up there, the journey should certainly be tackled with broad smiles on our faces. In the valley, we distributed two packs of marshmallows as a treat, and as we climbed the steep ascent, the clouds had completely cleared, and from a safe distance, we could observe the constant eruptions of Fuego. We frequently stopped to look back at the fiery mountain, which truly lived up to its name. Almost 5 hours after setting off, we reached the base camp somewhat exhausted; it had gotten pretty cold by now, and we received a delicious meal of chicken, potatoes, and vegetables while warming ourselves by a campfire. The night remained clear, and while we still couldn’t get enough of the spectacular backdrop in the background, one by one, the participants’ eyes started to droop, and people retreated into the hut. I was completely satisfied because compared to my first visit here and the stomach problems, this time I was spared the half-hour night excursion to a restroom disguised as a wooden shed. Moreover, the excursion back then was not possible for some unknown reason so close to the crater of Fuego. I sat by the fire with Colin for a while, and eventually, we also retreated to our sleeping quarters. To my surprise, a dog was sitting on my sleeping mat, looking at me with a “Please don’t chase me outside” expression. The little guy had followed us all the way up and apparently had no desire to spend the night in the cold. I let him stay, and we shared the narrow niche for the night. I crawled into my sleeping bag alone, but the little dog eventually crawled completely under the thick blanket over my sleeping bag and soon fell comfortably asleep. At some point early in the morning, part of the group set off for the summit of Acatenango. However, not me (and Colin) – I was more than satisfied with the trip to Fuego, and I had already fully summited Acatenango during my last visit.

After the traveling group returned to camp, we enjoyed a small breakfast, and around 8 AM it was time to head back down to the valley. The relaxed descent took about 3 hours, and on the way, we encountered quite a few larger groups heading up. Back on the narrow paths through the fields, this sometimes led to bottlenecks, and we had to let each other pass. I have no idea why there were suddenly so many people on the way to the summit the following day, but I was quite glad that our group was quite limited – the turnout was already pretty extreme. Down in the valley, there was a trailer for the climbers of Fuego, featuring an image of the fire volcano as a kind of medal – a nice gesture, I think. I was certainly pleased and reflected on the previous day during the return journey. I have no idea whether what happened up there was simply incredibly reckless and we were lucky or if it was a calculable risk – in any case, it was an absolutely unique experience, and I can only recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Guatemala to add this ascent to their list – whether with or without Fuego.

In the next few days, we continued to explore the city and wandered through the countless small art and trinket markets and on the rooftop terrace of our hostel. I also met Anna and Andre here, a couple from Australia (Anna is originally from Madrid) – two unbelievably relaxed and cool people, and since the two of them were traveling further south, we loosely agreed to meet in Colombia in a few weeks. Of course, we also watched football in Antigua, and the local first league team had a good fire in the building, with a small barra providing excellent support.

Before I was to return to Quito, there were a few farewell beers in a cozy bar with Colin, Andre, Anna, and all the other nice personalities I had gotten to know here again. It was definitely nice – my second stay in Antigua de Guatemala. Whether I will come back here again, I don’t know – but this relaxed town with its colossal volcanoes and natural spectacle has definitely left a lasting impression in my memories. There are just unique places on Earth, and this one definitely belongs to that group.

冉冉升起的晨曦将雷雨云和海面染成金色。门鹤在我们的小船两侧跟随着我们，而我们则在观看海豚捕猎。

听起来像我第一本糟糕的小说一样，事实也确实如此，因为早上06:30，海面依然平静，动物们却活跃了许多。

大约1个半小时后，我们到达了真正的目的地，霍尔博克岛前的鲸鲨。

突然之间，一切都发生得很快，前两位坐在船舷上，等待船长的指令。不会超过两到三分钟，因为追逐这些巨大动物相当费力。

接着轮到我了，和这些庞然大物一同游泳真的令人难以置信，而我身下是100米深的蓝色水域。我自己没有拍摄视频，因为所有其他人都在带着相机和各种设备跳入水中。我不想纠结于如何最好地将鲸鲨拍到镜头中，因此我能够完全享受这每次2到3分钟的时光。我们小船上的两个人更多是忙着拍照，而不是和动物互动，所以鲸鲨在几秒钟后就消失了...

我非常感激能看到这一切，但同时我也知道，每天有40到50艘船肯定会打扰到这些动物。现在只会有5到10只动物浮出水面，而根据我们的向导，之前曾有将近100只。

由于过度捕捞和气候变化，这些动物缺乏食物，不幸的是，这是全球性的现象...

顺便说一下，行程并不惊艳，航班很好，第一晚也很放松。去银行和理发店的必要访问也没有问题。

不过我早上在船巡游前醒来时，有喉咙疼、头痛和轻微发热。我不知道这是否是我最后一次登革热疫苗的后遗症，还是像我担心的那样只是最近几周压力的减轻，或可能仅仅是天气和空调的缘故。但没有关系，我将剩下的一天都花在吊床上，阅读和吃东西，并在21点准时入睡。

正如我所提到的，我之前已经去了霍尔博克，然后直接去了帕伦克，在梅里达和坎佩切停留一下，因此这段巴士旅程被分为3小时、2小时和7小时。事实证明，这个决定是完全正确的。现在空气湿度已上升到超过90%，气温达到44摄氏度。由于前几晚睡得不好，而通往渡轮和汽车站的路已经让我身心疲惫，我晚上大部分时间待在凉爽的房间里，只有在梅里达进行了一次短暂的市区游览。

梅里达和坎佩切至少在市中心都是很不错的城市，但在这里待上一天半或最多两天并没有必要。

接着前往帕伦克，近7小时的巴士旅程相对快速，但我正好赶上晚上的降雨，因此我不得不在公交车站等了一个多小时，才得以顺利步行400米到旅馆。

这座城市给人留下了很好的印象，这里有潮流的商店和餐馆供游客选择，几条街之外有市场、街头食品和墨西哥人所需的一切，但在酒店区外，我更喜欢这里 :)

因为我的旅馆实在是太棒了，我直接将住宿时间延长了一晚，并将游览遗址和瀑布的行程分为两天。通过集体出租车（小巴）前往各个景点。

每辆小巴都是在不同的地方出发，需要提前询问出发地点，这样即使不懂西班牙语也可以顺利进行...

遗址令我印象深刻，也可以登上其中一些结构。诚实地说，我现在还想去看看提卡尔遗址，然后我就到此为止对玛雅遗址的兴趣了。

幸好我穿的是一条黑色长裤，要不然还能让人认为我刚刚游泳，裤子和T恤都湿透了，真糟糕的是汗水顺着后背往裤子里流。高湿度让涂抹防晒霜变得毫无意义，因为你立刻就把它出了。

第一次的过境顺利进行。

在帕伦克，我搭乘第一辆集体出租车大约2个半小时，我已经开始询问为什么我是唯一的游客。好吧，我还得换车。

但在第二辆集体出租车上也没有人影，墨西哥人一个接一个在各自的小村庄下车。

我原以为边境口岸相当大，可以轻松找到ATM，因为我把最后的比索都花在了最后一辆集体出租车上，所以身上没有现金。

我开始意识到我的想法完全错了。最终事实也确实如此，我是唯一一个朝着边境走去的，实际上我是第一个需要盖戳的人，因为边检官需要先将戳上的日期调到13点...

在另一边，一切都很顺利，十秒钟后我就在护照上盖上了印章。

现在，我仍然面临我的资金问题，当然没有ATM，这真是个初学者的错误，于是我走进第一家商店问“换欧元”，说来好笑，不久之后我手中就拿到了第一批凯尔特货币，虽然汇率极其糟糕，但这也是没有考虑周到的结果...

弗洛雷斯很好且相当安静，至少现在是雨季，实际上在过去几天里并没有下雨，关于这一点已经可以说一些了。

我搭乘一条小船渡过来到达观景点，步行30分钟就到了，浑身湿透。第二天6点启程前往提卡尔。正好，4:30对我来说太早了，经过2小时的行程，8点时还没多少人到。

由于我是整辆车里唯一没有导游的人，所以至少在现场集体面前我得到了亲自的道别，谢谢!

这个决定是对的，我阅读了少数信息牌，然后简单随性地在国家公园里走了3个小时。其间我爬了一些寺庙，休息了两次，看到了一些动物，比如蜘蛛猴、啃食者、狐狸和各种蜘蛛（好在只有远视），并按时回到巴士。

第二天，我又准时6点搭乘巴士前往里奥杜尔斯，继续直接前往我的住宿地，那里只能乘坐小船到达。经过十分钟的船行，我走得更深入丛林。早上，周围的吼猴或多或少会将你从睡梦中唤醒，再或者如果你再睡着了，到了8点基本上就太热了，根本无法再睡。

这两天我几乎只是在阅读和睡觉。

由于国庆假期，所有的旅游巴士满员，因此我采用了一辆普通巴士前往安提瓜。

按照计划，11:15发车，大约需要4到5小时。但实际是13点才出发，旅程耗时6小时。所以我将在第二天再去安提瓜。

巧合的是，来自以色列的Yarden也恰好在安提瓜。五年前，我们曾一起在越南骑摩托车，我在Instagram上看到他在安提瓜的时间跟我一致。

因此我们一起探索了这座城市，享用了美食，并一起观看了国庆的游行，令人印象深刻。

接着三天后，我们一起前往火山Fuego。

从大约2100米海拔上升到3600米的痛苦绝对值得！通往目标的道路并不美丽，但当我们到达顶峰，白云散去，听到初次喷发的轰鸣声，还看到巨大的火山灰云时，所有的艰辛仿佛瞬间消散。

由于不断变化的云，我们没有前往观景点，而且那里还有600米的高度差。

尽管如此，这仍然是令人震撼的，最后我们还得在第二天清晨4点去看日出，得带上手电筒和头灯。

晚上又冷得让人难以忍受，那里的“棚子”非常简陋，内部是潮湿阴冷的。

篝火提供了一些温暖，但在接近冰点的气温下，我们很快就回到睡袋里，或干脆叠两个睡袋。因为我们两人独自在这间小屋里，感谢上天，我们都能够利用第二个睡袋，要不然就真是个冷夜了。

在经历了一夜的不适后，凌晨四点出发，目指3950米高的Acatenango山顶。

因为雾和黑暗的原因，徒步旅行并不那么容易。

到达顶峰时更冷，我感觉自己真是受了冻，因为在攀爬过程中你肯定会出汗，而与刺骨的寒风结合，这种寒冷几乎让人无法承受。

正当日出时，云烟消散，我们能清晰地看到三座火山。

然后，当Fuego喷发时，看到炽热的岩石和熔岩时，你会瞬间感到温暖。

绝对令人惊叹，付出的一切都值得！

在同样疲惫的下山后，我立刻前往阿蒂特兰湖。这个危地马拉第二大湖泊是由火山爆发形成的，逐渐填满水。我之前就奇怪，为什么没人想要欺骗我，直到现在所有人都相当诚实。我知道，从潘哈赫尔到圣佩德罗的渡船费用应该约为3欧元。那个穿着显眼“旅游”衬衫的家伙要价15欧元，而公共渡船至少需要一个小时，或无私地收取35欧元为我们划船。

随着越来越多穿着这种衬衫的人出现，我开始感到怀疑，并请Yarden我们掉头，自己去码头。

我该怎么办，那条船花了3欧元，35分钟就到达圣佩德罗……

一个美丽的小地方。你可以在几个“海滩”游泳，攀登火山，或者像这里大多数人一样，尽情狂欢。由于我对此并没有太多兴趣，我写下这些文字，整理我的照片并计划我的下一个行程。

我现在正准备前往萨尔瓦多，期待着尼加拉瓜，因为到目前为止我已听到许多关于尼加拉瓜的好评！

从弗洛雷斯出发，我参加了前往提卡尔的旅行。早上很早就出发了，驱车一个小时到达偏僻处，参观其中一个最大的玛雅遗址，整体上真是令人印象深刻。尤其是当你想象它的面积时，尽管大部分仍然被自然掩盖。这个城市大约在公元900年被遗弃，看到当时建造的高度，确实有些超现实。小趣闻，众神的愿望是通过使用蘑菇在神庙中获得的，然后人们的生活也以此为导向。在亡灵城中，我们没有找到古老的玛雅灵魂 :( 不过我认识了一位澳大利亚女士，自此我们一起做了很多事，真是个好交易。

关于玛雅社会中女性的有趣故事，我向我们的导游询问，他通过两个庙宇为我们解释了女性在其中的美好角色：两个庙宇，一个有9级（代表男人），另一个有3级（代表女人）。因为：男人赐予我们9个月的怀孕，而生育的女性则创造了生命。生育是唯一的使命，连这9个月的怀孕也是由男人承担的。得知这一点让我感动不已，激动不已。我的导游似乎无法明白这点，嗯。

爬那些庙宇真是太棒了，尽管在我这次旅行中最热的一天，令人疲惫。下午我们返回，我勉强赶上了去伯利兹的巴士，并测量了一些东西，然后累得直接倒在床上 :D

今天早上，我们非常轻松地在3小时内前往伯利兹，边境检查毫无问题，遇到了一位非常友好的女士，她几乎为我们解释了如何获取SIM卡等。明天我们将参加一次附近洞穴的探险旅行，那将是很冒险的，并且无疑是我预订过的最贵的一次（否则我下周就得回家 :D）。希望我能做到。

关于我的博客，我有些懈怠。实际上，这主要是因为我最近几天没做太多事。我一直待到今天（2024年3月4日）在圣佩德罗，我只是享受着。真是好久没有计划过了。起床、锻炼、洗澡和吃早饭，每天都这样。似乎我缺少了这种例行公事，而我这几天恰好能够体验一下。就是不去任何地方，不用考虑下一个城市，只是过着“正常”的生活。此外，我有一个“单人间”，实际上是一个帐篷，仅花费大约8欧元，我非常享受这个。上一次有这种体验，除了在圣克鲁斯的旅馆，我是唯一的客人，还是在瓦哈卡，因此这是我旅行中的第二个地方。随意地展开自己的东西，想什么时候睡就什么时候睡，不用考虑别人，有时真的很需要。

当然，我也没有闲着，我几次去划皮划艇，或者去看看湖周边的其他地方。一天（2024年2月28日），我去了圣胡安，这是一个与圣佩德罗相邻的小镇，可以徒步到达。虽然我在我们徒步旅行回来的时候也曾去过那里，但只是短暂停留。我在那儿漫步，并在一家不错的餐馆用餐。顺便提一下，餐馆是我在危地马拉绝对最爱的，健康的全面午餐加上一杯饮料，只需大约3欧元，简直完美。

湖边的自然风光令人叹为观止，有许多火山和山脉，唯一的问题是偶尔会有抢劫游客的强盗。我并不知道这样的事发生过多少次，但当地人警告说不要没有向导或单独上山。当然，没有手机和带一点钱也是可以的，但我觉得这个风险不值得。因此，我决定只进行一次小徒步，从一个地方到另一个地方。下玛雅小径从圣克鲁斯拉拉古纳到圣马尔科斯。因为这里偶尔也会发生抢劫事件，我只带了我的旧手机，以便在必要时通过谷歌地图找到方向。我当然没有标记徒步的起点，因为根据一篇博客，“很容易找到”。在50分钟的闲逛之后，在问了几位当地人之后，他们给我指了入口。最后，我其实可以在5分钟内走上路，但那样就太无聊了……由于没有标识，我只好大致根据湖泊定位。有一段时间我以为自己迷路了，但幸运的是遇到了一个法国情侣，他们用手机导航。于是我就跟着他们一起走。其实这个徒步没有什么特别突出的地方，只有20分钟有很好的景色，剩下的时间就中规中矩。但是你会感觉很有成就感，我还想探索一下圣马尔科斯。这个湖边的“嬉皮小镇”，我对它的期待很高，但特别好又并不是。值得注意的是，那里的旅游氛围有些不同，很多素食餐厅、超级食品、瑜伽工作坊、自然产品等等。但一切都非常贵，感觉有些人为，通常便宜的餐馆也涨到了5欧元，没有饮料，至于素食餐厅我就不想多说了。如果有必要的钱并且想要这种东西，那里的确是个好去处。但我觉得不够真实，那里的旅游氛围太极端。然而看一看还是不错的。大约下午2点，我们又返回了，二人去了圣胡安，而我回到了圣佩德罗。

第二天（2024年3月1日），我和法国的马克斯去了另一个城市，圣地亚哥·阿提特兰。我们计划13:30乘船，但由于我们在不同的城市而我没有网络，只能寄希望于对方能准时抵达。我在餐馆里坐到13:20，突然惊慌地抬头看时间……肚子吃得饱饱的冲向旅馆，抓起东西，然后跑到码头，13:29，真是不错。“没有去圣地亚哥的船”，我被告知，所以我必须去镇子另一头的一个码头。由于是个小镇，不到10分钟我就到了，直接跳上了船，然后又等了15分钟，直到船上的人满了才能出发。在圣地亚哥，我无果地寻找马克斯。等了40分钟后，我开始询问人们有没有热点，以便问他在哪里。而就在这时船来了，马克斯在船上。他必须乘坐突突车去圣佩德罗，然后在那里等下一班船……没有网络我当然不知道这些。好吧，虽然我们现在在圣地亚哥的原因是马克西蒙。别问我马克斯怎么想到去拜访他。马克西蒙是一个吸烟和喝酒的神明，几乎能让你摆脱所有的事情，包括失业、感情问题或癫痫症。每年，这位神明的地址会更换到圣地亚哥的另一座房子。一间房间会专门布置好以供马克西蒙和其他各类木偶以及很多香火使用。两位身着传统服饰的老人始终坐在马克西蒙旁边，他们从马克西蒙那里获得批准，整天都能喝酒。入场费是0.6欧元，要拍照另加双倍费用（所以我在这里没有照片，网上有他的照片）。在那儿，两位醉酒的男士整整一年陪伴着一个木偶，每天都有当地人和游客前来欣赏，而他们还得通过这些收入来支付酒水？没错！

观看完这场表演后，我们又在城里游逛，那里的气息要真实得多。连那些男士也穿着传统服装，平时只见到女性，且我们几乎是那里唯一的游客。真是很漂亮。

接下来的两天并没有特别的精彩，只是平常的日子。

今天我去了安提瓜，危地马拉的最后一站。旅程的过程和我想的有些不同，但人们都非常乐于助人，总是为你指引需要换乘的公交车。不过，由于下一班公交要等前一班，所以没有时间休息一下。旅程还要2小时，而公交的颠簸并没有给我的膀胱带来好处。付钱时，我问我们是否可以先停一下。他说了一些我听不懂的话，然后又回到了前面。又过了20分钟，脑海中只有一个想法，直到我们在路上停下，我被叫到前面。就在大街上，身后是一个小超市，面前是公交车，我该上厕所了……其他国家有其他的习俗，真是这么说的吗？我不为此感到自豪，但实在很必要。

到达安提瓜后，我必须先买点东西吃和四处走一走。我给人的初印象是过于商业化，满是纪念品商店，人人都在向你推销商品。我不是特别喜欢这样的感觉，但也许明天会有所改变。

我从星期三开始将参加一个为期几天的冥想静修，因此下一个帖子会晚一些。

已经有一段时间了，但老实说我太累了，没法做任何事情 :D 我周六的开始很有趣，我本想悠闲地在城市里闲逛。但在午餐时，我的旅馆发消息给我，因为我稍微忘了我已经需要退房了。所以我迅速回去，然后在大厅里挂了整整六个小时，等我的夜班车。这样我才去了危地马拉城，在一个站台我们还得等一个小时，才能坐上去弗洛雷斯的下一辆公交车。我也很高兴我总能找到同样在某个地方迷路的人，一起等着 :D 那班车在10点前到达，我们首先被祝福了15分钟 (!!!!!)，然后那家伙也幸亏下车了，我也成功地尝试在车上睡觉。早上7点我们到达了弗洛雷斯。然后我又在大厅等了6个小时，终于可以洗个澡，独自躺在床上。太棒了。弗洛雷斯本身还是挺可爱的，那里人不多，因为所有人都只是把这个城市当作周边旅游的起点。我租了一艘桨板，划过湖，到达一个绳索摆动的地方，我在水上摔了两次而且几天后还在肚子上有酸痛。但是嘿，至少那里有一家素食餐厅 :D

有两个火山攀登的选择，一个是要在一个营地过夜，而另一个可以在一天内完成。所以我朝着火山2攀爬，真是无比费力。一路上不断上坡，穿越碎石和沙子，没有停歇，但幸运的是有阴凉的地方，海拔足够高，气温也变得凉快了。老实说，团队的速度简直超人，真的不知道我们的向导是怎么几乎跑着爬上那些山的，但我觉得我的肺快要炸了。其实中途我们还被一个每天在那条路上跑步以训练马拉松的跑者赶上了(: 我在想我是不是应该不再爬了(: 可惜这里不能用心理微笑。但在寒冷的熔岩田中徒步旅行非常有趣，此外我还触摸到一个冒着蒸汽的地方，那里有些气泡冒出来！在火山口一切都非常安静，雾时不时弥漫过来。这样让周围的环境显得很神秘。

昨天上午我还短暂地在附近的一个巨大的市场，那里有从水果到香料的各种商品，甚至还有一个巨大的二手衣物市场。我明天还会在这里好好吃一顿，晚上就开始我的14小时旅程前往佛罗伦萨，从而更接近伯利兹。:)

这三天真的很漫长。从‘我明天飞往危地马拉’一下子变成了一次小小的世界之旅。一切始于一架在滑行时空调故障的飞机。后来在跑道上终于明确，整架飞机的电子设备都罢工了。于是，很快就宣布大家都要下飞机，回到机场步行。然后又尝试了两次登机，但都是中途取消，没有人能告诉我们发生了什么，过了一段时间，他们用餐券把我们所有人都送到了机场的小赛百味，结果在小航站楼里排起了长龙，而在这期间又宣布‘我们现在起飞’。我坚决等到手里拿到我的潜艇三明治，然后冲向登机口 :D 很快就明白没有人能够赶上自己的转机（当然了），于是我在博哥特无目的地游荡，寻找能够帮助我的人。重新订票实际上非常简单，不过比我的原定航班晚了四个小时，并且（小插曲）出乎意料的是还要经过巴拿马。这也意味着我差不多在七小时后才到达危地马拉城，已经是晚上了，我决定不再花一小时坐出租车去安提瓜。最终我现在愉快地坐在安提瓜的酒店里，晚到了一天，肯定比计划的更疲惫，而且人们，这里很凉爽！很舒适！房间不需要空调，尽管我只是短暂地出去吃了一餐，但这里真的很不错。在路上我还遇到了另外五位女性，我非常喜欢这种感觉，让我觉得越来越多的人相互支持。现在先去睡觉，明天我开始慢慢品尝这里的美食 :D

自从我写上一个帖子已经过去几天，这意味着我需要补上几天的内容。我仍然试图让这篇帖子简洁。

在2024年2月20日，我去了Cerro Baúl进行一次小徒步旅行，这是一座整座城市都能看到的小山。带着尽可能少的行李，我开始了大约9公里的徒步旅行。非常轻松，到了12:00我又回到了旅馆。吃点东西，跟Gram聊天（一个出于兴趣学习语言的美国人，目前正在学习德语，挺有趣的），那天也没有做其他事情了。

第二天（2024年2月21日），谁能想到又有一次徒步旅行在等着我，这次是去Cerro Quemado。我能从整座城市看见他，而且比Cerro Baúl明显辛苦得多。这次徒步旅行的总长度预计为约12公里，并有近800米的高度差。景色非常优美，除了在通过的小村庄外，我没有见到过其他人。这个徒步路线在命名上也有点过分，我提议叫它“攀爬路线”（Klettern + Wandern）。其实就几公里，挺费力的，如果要攀爬某些岩石的话更是相当危险。但确实很有趣。到达顶峰后，所有的艰辛都是值得的，风景简直令人惊叹。下山时，我已经开始期待几分钟后出现在我面前的法拉费尔卷饼。还有当天不能少的自制水果沙拉。

在2024年2月22日，没有进行徒步旅行，因为我想为为期三天的湖畔之旅做好准备。相反，我乘坐鸡巴士前往奇奇卡斯特南戈，那里有拉丁美洲最大的户外市场。如果你在谷歌地图上查看这个城市，你是无法想象这样一个大市场是怎么容纳下来的。即使到了现场，你仍然不知道。感觉每条街道都被摊位占满，再次出现了无所不包的商品。我到达那里，告诉自己：“一切都好，策略性地行动。先走垂直的街道，然后再走水平的。”一切都还很好，但几分钟后就不行了，我完全不知道自己身在何处，横的、竖的、斜的还是颠倒的。好吧，那就干脆走吧。这个方法似乎有效，最终我认出了摊位，并能够稍微找到方向😅

这是一个巨大的错综复杂的地方，有各种各样的商品，写下所有的内容会让我和你都感到烦恼。这里真是应有尽有。不过可惜的是，这里也相当旅游化，价格也需要大量议价。我只买了一条裤子，我们开始时要价24欧元，最后我付了不到10欧元，这可能仍然高于实际价格。不管怎样，这是一次很酷的经历，看到一个完全由市场组成的城市很有趣。

在2024年2月23日，我终于能做一些我期待已久的事情。滑水🤣！我乘坐鸡巴士花了将近两个小时到了一个大型水上乐园，位于丛林正中，最近的大城市也有两个小时的车程。为什么在那里，我不知道，但无论如何这是太棒了。门票12欧元对于危地马拉来说绝对很贵，但对于这样的公园来说是合理的。我不知道这个地方有多大，但我从未见过这样的场地。光是停车场就能停放3000多辆车。公园里面人并不多。那里有超过15条大滑水道，每一条都非常棒，起点都非常高。你得走50到150层楼梯才能滑一次……如果把这些加起来，花几个小时和15条滑水道，我在水上乐园走的米数可不少🤣 。除了两条滑水道，我都玩了好几遍，但那两条出于安全原因让我有点不安。无论如何，到处都有工作人员，那些滑水道的维护状态也令人惊讶的好。在四个小时后，经历了无数的楼梯和在水上乐园走的12公里后，我又回来了。

到18:00时，我有一场徒步旅行的准备会议。在那里，我认识了向导和其他参与者，了解了旅行的所有重要信息，并借来了一个更大的背包、睡袋和气垫。

回到旅馆后，我把所有东西都相应地整理好，因为我的背包将被送往目的地。

2024年2月24日是第一天的徒步旅行。06:00我们在组织的办公室集合，吃了早餐，然后出发。计划是徒步约18公里，还要攀爬一些高度。

路线带我们进入危地马拉的高地，没有其他游客，没有徒步者，只有大自然和偶尔的一些当地人。我们的团队由9人组成，包含19岁的来自柏林的Karla，她是我们的向导，还有当地的向导José。我们的第一次午餐和晚餐都是在背包里，接下来的几天有其他安排。也为我们准备了零食。午餐时，我们享用了美味的玉米饼、鳄梨酱、豆类和蔬菜，我们开始了最后的冲刺。16:00，我们到达了第一个民宿。一个我们可以带着装备在里面睡觉的房子。经历了一次非常必要的“Temazcal沐浴”后，吃了一大碗意面后，我们都很高兴地躺进了睡袋。

在2024年2月25日，07:00我们前往一个食堂，那里为我们所有人准备了美味的早餐。先是鸡蛋、豆类和香蕉，还有咖啡，然后又加了一块西瓜煎饼，真棒。等到08:20我们终于大家搞定后出发。进山而上，攀上“自拍山”，然后再下来，攀上“冰山”，在山顶等着我们的是美味的香蕉冰淇淋。经过了两个小时和几次过河，终于可以吃午餐了。早上食堂的女工们把食物放进了我们的保鲜盒里。米饭、卷饼和蔬菜。随后我们又穿过一些田野和其他山脉。17:00到达下一个民宿，那里有个美丽的淋浴。食物由我们在那边烹饪，稍后我们围在篝火旁，期待着03:30的起床（不是）。

在2024年2月26日，我们在04:00起床并准备出发。带着头灯，半睡半醒的我们走了一小时，来到了观看日出的观景点。到达后，我们打开了气垫和部分睡袋，坐下等待。开始准备开水做可可和咖啡，也点燃了一小堆火。大约5:45时，天色渐渐亮了，06:20时阳光从山上升起。但在那之前，我们还在远方看到了喷发的火山Fuego。热饮也准备好了，我们可以享受与香蕉面包和花生酱一起的早餐。直到08:00我们还留在山上，吃完饮料后便下山到了San Juan la Laguna。那里有一个小吃和一杯冰沙在咖啡厅里。几分钟后，我们乘小货车前往San Pedro la Laguna，那里有一家餐厅等着我们。餐厅就在湖边，还有一个从阳台跳入湖中的选择（4-5米高），当然要把握住这个机会。然后还有一份厚厚的披萨😋。14:00时，我们的背包送到，我们又整理了一下，告别并回到了住宿。现在我在湖边住几天，睡在大号单人帐篷里，享受床铺。晚上我还和三位徒步的朋友喝了啤酒，之后获得了应得的睡眠。

今天（2024年2月27日）没发生太多事情，这里旅馆提供免费的早餐，我把衣物洗好并放松。与一位瑞典女孩聊了几句，我们决定去划一圈皮划艇（这里还可以免费租用皮划艇），然后我们就在湖面上划了两个小时。稍后会有好吃的东西，接着又要回到床上了😄。

首先，危地马拉真棒！我在这里过得非常好，人们很友善，一切都很轻松，食物也超级便宜。乘坐Colectivos和Chickenbuses的旅程很有趣，这里的每个地方都有其独特的美丽。许多女性仍然穿着传统服饰，并且还会说一些玛雅语言。简直太棒了。

结果，确实有一个美国家庭留宿了一晚，第二天早晨就离开了。所以第二天我成了整个旅馆里唯一的客人。这一天（2024年2月16日）我部分时间 spent 在科班。那是最近的一个大城市，我不知道在圣克鲁斯·维拉帕斯该做什么。我在一个购物中心闲逛，之后又去一个小国家公园徒步旅行。午餐我再次吃了Pupusas，萨尔瓦多的玉米饼。大约在下午2点我回到了旅馆，晚上又去了一次市中心，然后躺在吊床上。

2024年2月17日我就去奎萨尔特南戈，或称为Xela。在向旅馆老板询问早餐后，我问他我该如何到达那里，于是7点20分出发了。到达车站时被告知下一班车要到8:30……真不错。不过我先是坐到下一个小镇，虽然没有太大帮助，但也没有坏处。😅 到了9点，我继续前往乌斯潘坦，下车时已经有人在叫其他连接车次。5分钟后，我就坐上了下一个Colectivo。这次我能活动手脚了，因为第一个Colectivo实在是太挤了 😂 我原以为Colectivo只到Sacapulas，没想到到了那里却被告知我们会继续到圣克鲁斯·德尔基克。挺简单。从那里我第一次乘坐Chickenbus。那些是旧款美国校车，涂得五彩斑斓。它们有各种不同的喇叭……不同的节奏，有时甚至是歌曲的开头，如'We will rock you'或'The final Countdown'，真是疯狂。我本以为这会是一段轻松的旅程……这些公交车太夸张了，它们的调校让人难以置信。上坡时我们以飞快的速度超越了皮卡车。就连起步时我们也会超过其他汽车。不过这非常具有挑战性，当然没有安全带，在转弯或狭窄地方也不会减速。加速和刹车只能完全进行，根本没有灵活性。而我几乎无法保持坐稳，有人竟然在车顶上爬来爬去？把行李再绑紧或放松，真是完全荒谬。想象一下小型卡丁车和一辆校车，而司机还以为自己是赛车手。不过我觉得很酷，期待下一次的旅程，哈哈。不管怎样，我大约在下午4点30回到旅馆，欣慰地发现这段旅程只花了15欧元，而直达巴士至少要40欧元。在购物和吃了一顿蹩脚的晚餐后我就去睡觉了。

在2024年2月18日，我并没有安排太多事情，只是放松心情，四处闲逛。到大约下午2点半时，整个城市都没有电。不知道是不是正常，很多商店外面都在开着发电机。我觉得这座城市真不错，尽管有30万人口，但这里非常宁静，而且一切应有尽有。巨大的市场、很棒的餐馆、咖啡馆应有尽有，而且价格也很低，真是太棒了。我在一个大露天市场逗留了一段时间。我从来没有在同一个地方看到这么多新鲜的水果和蔬菜，真的很惊人。一切看起来都很好，并且只需要几个便士就能买到。晚上我延长了自己的住宿，我会在这里待到星期六（2024年2月24日）。首先，这里还有很多事情可以做，其次我预定了一次徒步旅行。从这里（奎萨尔特南戈）到阿蒂特兰湖，刚好是我下一个停留的地方。这样安排也很好，徒步旅行和在睡袋里睡觉也是一种不错的体验。

今天（2024年2月19日）我又得早起，因为我想在6点30分乘坐一个去奇卡巴尔火山的Colectivo。这里旅馆的宣传说，攀登大约需要2.5到3小时。因此我决定早点出发。7点10分，我到了火山徒步旅行的起点。8点20分，我到了火山上……哇，我本可以再多睡会儿。不管怎样，我在山顶享受着对另外两个火山的美景，以及奇卡巴尔火山的亮点，火山口湖。这个火山是休眠的，在火山口里有一个环绕着森林的湖泊。这个湖今天仍然被当地人用于仪式或祈祷。但是从顶端到湖边，得下将近600级台阶。不过这仍然值得，到湖边一圈约20分钟，风景非常美丽。在我在湖边时，有两个女人正在进行仪式并唱歌。一段时间后我离开湖边，又得先上600级台阶……一点儿都不酷。一小时后我回到了街上，然后又乘坐Colectivo回市区。在回程时我还经过市场，再次买了一些水果和蔬菜。在旅馆里就没什么事情了，简单购物、洗衣服（让别人洗）和自己再次好好做饭。真是太棒了😍。

在2024年2月11日，在享用了一份美味的墨西哥卷饼和我自己调制的饮料（牛奶、花生、菠萝和一种我忘了名字的健康植物粉末）后，我们乘船前往酒店。酒店位于距离河流上游约15分钟的偏远安静的地方。那里很美，各种小屋只能通过栈道到达。因为我一直肚子不舒服，所以就餐只能依赖自己的餐厅。虽然我的胃一直在作怪，我也吃不了多少。那里没什么可做的，就挂在吊床上，划皮划艇（免费），吃东西和睡觉。其实我只打算待一天，但因为今天无法划独木舟，我又预定了一个晚上。食物非常美味，价格也还合理。

第一个晚上非常有趣，天黑后响起的声音很酷。没有鸟声，只有昆虫发出的蝉鸣以及其他各种声音。声音吵得惊人。我的床正好靠在一个“窗户”旁边，实际是墙上的一个洞，前面有金属网和蚊帐，因此我几乎就像是在户外😂

在家里的睡眠绝对更舒适，但至少那儿没有公鸡像平常一样叫。早上07:00我就醒来了（2024年2月12日），再也睡不着了。吃了这里在危地马拉的标准早餐：鸡蛋配豆子后，准备去划皮划艇。这是我第一次坐这样的东西，我也不知道怎么回事，但我就直接下水了。我对这竟然这么累感到非常惊讶，骑一小时自行车没问题，但划一小时的皮划艇可就不轻松了。我本来想去Rio Dulce的一座堡垒（据说从水面看几乎很酷），但那也要比我最后游的距离远一倍。我不太有信心，选择的皮划艇也许不是最好的...它很窄，当当有摩托船经过时，摇得还挺厉害。不过我玩得很开心。接下来的日子过得平静。哦对了，酒店老板是瑞士人。20多年前，他和几个朋友发疯似的买下了一个丛林里的地方，然后他们就建立了这个Casa Perico酒店。

2024年2月13日又是个美好的旅行日。06:00时，船就开了，06:30时我已经坐上第一辆Colectivo车前往El Estor，一个小时后我到了那里，得知08:00就有巴士去Cobán。完美，有足够时间去买点早餐，一切都很顺利，然后就继续前往Lanquín，车程5小时。前一天，一位酒店工作人员告诉我怎么走。我原本打算走另一条路，但他说那条路很糟糕，比另外一条要慢。我很高兴听了他的建议，如果另一条路比从El Estor到Cobán的前几公里更糟糕，我肯定会得到一些淤青。天哪，简直是一条砂石路，我们乘坐的是一辆30年的老校车。车顶上满载着装满豆子的袋子、桌子和其他东西，而在车里，我的包从行李架上飞了出去，我几乎是在空中而非坐在座位上。但是，老巴士真是能扛住一切。在大约一小时半后，路况逐渐变好了，至少左侧的路面不错，但我们这侧依然糟糕😂不过这也只持续了半小时，之后我们的车轮下终于出现了沥青。这里的巴士乘坐体验和欧洲完全不同...在这里你不会去怀疑，而只是开心地说自己只花了6欧元。到达Cobán时，我们停在一个巨大的广场上，感觉几乎有上百辆巴士四处驶去。我的脚步几乎是直通厕所，但因为中间还有个菜市场。水果、蔬菜、鸡（活的、死的、新鲜的或裹面包屑的）、玉米饼或者其他一些人们不需要的东西。回到巴士附近时，我被直接搭讪了，他帮我找到前往Lanquín的巴士。在巴士上，我才意识到我还饿着，应该买点东西吃，但也不想再回头了。幸运的是，有人正好利用这个机会，他们会拿着篮子或者托盘走进车里。各种小吃都有，剥好的水果、薯片、饮料，或者一份红白薯条，只需60美分，就没人会拒绝。而更有趣的是，其他唯一的一个游客竟然是个德国人😂和他聊得很愉快，但不久之后车里真的太满了，我们觉得即便只隔了一个座位也几乎看不见对方。总是令人兴奋的是，看看有多少人、动物和袋子能拥挤进这种车辆里。再过两个小时，我们终于到达了Lanquín。我在城里找了个旅馆，而Valentin则是在城外，但离Semuc Champey很近。我们互换了电话号码，以便第二天能一起活动。我去了旅馆，那家真的很不错，虽然在城外，但在15/20分钟内还是能到达。就在一座山中间，建筑都是草顶，并且都是架在高跷上的。可惜的是，这里又没有可以自己做饭的厨房，只有一家餐厅，价格略贵。在城里我找到两家当地人也会去的餐厅，那里价格便宜得多。那天我只在这非常小的城镇里走了一次，在一家餐厅吃了两个墨西哥卷饼，然后就回到了旅馆。

2024年2月14日早上，我和Valentin约好了09:00/09:30在Semuc Champey国家公园的入口见面。但我们在旅馆外面都没有Wi-Fi，我想在Comedor吃早餐，然后再搭车去公园，而他则打算步行去公园，还在旅馆吃早餐。

在Comedor（当地人餐厅），我花3欧元吃了鸡蛋配豆子和玉米饼，还有一杯咖啡。期间，一个16岁的男孩一直对我喋喋不休，但我觉得他不太聪明。他究竟想干什么我也不知道。他坐在Comedor里，不吃东西，还玩弄着钱，但什么都没买，似乎在等我。他似乎在给去国家公园的人提供交通服务，但他太年轻，开不了车。当我吃完准备上街时，他也跟着我。这里的交通系统非常简单，你在街上等着，一旦有皮卡车经过就跳上去，被送上去。他一直在说着话，带我找到了最终让我搭乘的皮卡。也许他只是个好心人，想帮帮我...不过人总是更喜欢去做些更重要的事情，对吧？好吧，我就在皮卡的货斗上，路面颠簸，花了大约30分钟上下坡，全是砂石。有时候轮胎会打滑，因为坡太陡；有时他甚至以50的速度开过弯道...到达Semuc Champey后，我等到了09:40，但Valentin还是没来，我只好自己先进去。Semuc Champey真是独特，那里有巨大的天然池塘和小阶梯。我想这些池塘都是石灰岩或其他成分组成的，经过数千年的侵蚀和形成。在那里可以随处游泳，有些池塘深达5米，水清澈见底。很难用语言来描述。总之，这是一次难以置信的体验，天气阴沉，偶尔下雨，但仍然非常美好。我在两个池塘里独自待了快一个小时，因为那里并不是“主要的池塘”，我并不知道。后来我继续前进，发现大家都聚集在那里。那里游泳更好，但跟下面比，这里确实热闹了许多。当你静止片刻时，鱼会游过来啃食你身上的死皮。在这次游玩后，我就去看瞭望点。在前往瞭望点的路上，我碰到了Valentin，他比预计的时间要晚。我终于看到了卷毛猴。也许看到有点夸张，因为它们躲得那么高，以至于几乎看不见，但还是不错。那些小黑猿很吵…瞭望点真是太美了，从那里可以看到所有的池塘和壮观的自然环境。这样的一段旅程绝对值得！

大约在13:30，我再次跳上皮卡，随后在城里去Comedor吃了个三明治。结果发现那不过是三片土司，里面夹了米饭、豆子、意大利面配西红柿酱和蔬菜。奇怪的三明治，但价格3欧元也不至于抱怨。

到了16:00我们终于见面了，一起去了一处洞穴。18:00时应该有成千上万只蝙蝠出来，我们有足够的时间去探索洞穴。在洞穴前面又有人想给我们提供导游，但这洞穴不需要导游。我们进入洞穴，里面空无一人，完全没有人，独自在这个巨大洞穴里，真是令人印象深刻。三分钟后我们听见身后有脚步声，一个小危地马拉人走向我们。他开始喋喋不休，而且酒味很重。我心里感到不自在，但他不肯离开我们，还想给我们一个导游。可是他已经醉得不省人事，还出汗不止，我们只想摆脱他。经过短暂的争论，我们继续前行。他在石头上敲打着什么，然后似乎离开了。这样我们就可以继续享受洞穴探险了。洞穴里的道路照明开得很好，可以走动。洞穴的规模令人震撼，我从未见过这么大的地方。后来确实又来了一些游客，回程时也遇到了一些导游团队。我们的时机真不错。在洞穴外我们等了几分钟，逐渐看到蝙蝠从洞口飞出。越来越多的蝙蝠飞出入口，真是疯狂。之后我们就道别，回到宿舍。

我不想明天再走，所以问能否再住一晚。不行。好吧，我得找个新的地方去...

今天（2024年2月15日）早餐后我前往Santa Cruz Verapaz。那里是通往危地马拉南部的下一个最好的旅馆。经过3.5小时车程我到达这里。这里不是个旅游的地方，但也挺有趣的。在旅馆里我没碰到其他的住客，周围也很安静。但这也是个不错的旅馆。至于我明天要做什么，还不太清楚，看看吧。

在2024年2月7日，我只是想进行一次小徒步旅行，结果我确实做到了。从酒店出发不到一公里，有一条小径通向山顶，穿过这个在埃尔雷马特的丛林。实际上，入场费大约是5欧元，但这是值得的。那里有一条4公里和一条6公里的环线，乍听起来不算长，但在这气温和海拔条件下，实际上还是相当费力的。路上有三个观景点，湖面的景色令人惊叹。在我徒步的3个小时里，我只遇到了另外两个人，所以这里也相对安静。我还观察到几只蜘蛛猴，它们正好在我上方吃着几种水果。除此之外，还有一些鸟儿在附近活动，实际上比我预想的要少得多，还有几只小蜥蜴。回程时，吼猴又在叫，我以为我终于能看到它们，结果错了。

在酒店里，我躺在吊床上，计划着我的下一个去处，然后大约在日落前两个小时，我就在码头/湖里待着。那天酒店相当空，主要是一些年长的游客。

第二天（2024年2月8日）我就回到了佛洛雷斯，因为我想第二天早上搭乘去里约杜尔塞的班车。这次我住在了另一个旅馆，没有做太多事情。我和一位德国人聊了一些，几句之后我就发现她是个“马女孩”。后来她告诉我，在来这之前，她一直在骑马，哈哈。那是一段相当肤浅的对话，因为我不太喜欢她的方式，但每个人都不同。我终于可以买一张SIM卡，以便在旅馆外也能上网。实际上，过去几天我并不觉得缺少互联网，竟然全在旅馆上网也让我感到轻松……但“如果发生什么事情”，好吧，我也不知道。中午我吃了普普萨，玉米饼，里面夹着豆子和奶酪，味道非常好。其余时间我没做太多事情，早早就睡了。

从2024年2月9日的04:30开始我就醒来了，05:00之前还稍微打了一会儿瞌睡，05:15提供了免费的早餐（吐司配花生酱和咖啡），06:00我就坐上了去里约杜尔塞的班车。没什么意外，我又坐在了一位德国人旁边，她在哥伦比亚进行了一学期的交换生，随后游览了哥伦比亚。她给了我一些建议，也许我会去她提到的一些地方。在大约2.5小时后，我们进行了计划中的15分钟休息。结果休息时间延长到了45分钟，因为司机去修理厂一趟，似乎轮胎出了一些问题😂。但余下的车程还是很舒适，5小时后我们便到达了里约杜尔塞。其实我本来不打算留在这座城市，因为这里并不好看，但直接靠近河流的酒店已经客满。所以我必须在市区的一个旅馆待两天。当天我在城里闲逛，后来和两位德国人一起在泳池里待了会儿。后来又有一对德国夫妻加入了我们😂。我和那对德国夫妻聊了很久，他们给了我一些关于危地马拉的建议。

对于昨天（2024年2月10日），我的计划是洗衣服和去一个瀑布。这个瀑布是那对夫妻推荐的，他们也跟着我去。瀑布位于丛林深处，有着热水。水池是凉的，因为水来自河流，但落下的水非常热，因为上面有一个热泉。这真是一次非常有趣的经历。在瀑布后面还有一些小洞穴，可以潜水过去。那里美极了，安静极了，午间很多游客来了，但我们差不多也要离开了。之后我们分开了，他们想去另一个城市，而我又回去了。在一家二手商店逛了一下，花了2.50欧元买了一件哥伦比亚的绒毛外套后，我就回到了旅馆。我又感到肚子不舒服，所以剩下的时间都在床上和厕所度过。

今天（2024年1月11日）我将去河边的酒店，但在那之前我还要在旅馆里放松一下✌️

I learned two things, the first thing is: Don't believe everything a crazy American says and second thing: Don't trust any taxi driver.

There are two ways to get from Palenque to Flores, the shuttle transfer, where you are taken to the border and picked up after the border, is of course correspondingly expensive, or by public transport. Of course I took the cheaper second option.

The first border crossing was on Saturday (03.02.24) and that meant getting up early. At 07:15 I was already sitting in the colectivo to Tenosique. After a few more people were recruited, we set off at 7:30. The journey took a little over 2.5 hours, which meant that I had 25 minutes in Tenosique to cover a distance of 3km, when it was already 26°C. My only option was a taxi. My first mistake was telling the taxi driver that I wanted to go to the bus station, which only goes to the border. Due to the lack of space, the backpacks were thrown into the trunk and I squeezed into the back seat. The first two people got out and I told the taxi driver that I was getting out too as it was only a 5 minute walk. He said no, there are no colectivos there today🤨. I tried to ask him why and he said that let's take the lady in the passenger seat away first. We stopped in a completely different direction and in the middle of the field. By now it was already 10:20 and the Colectivo was supposed to leave at 10:30. We discussed using Google Translate and somehow I believed him that because of the day (Saturday) no Colectivos go to the border. I no longer had a real choice; time had progressed so far that I wouldn't have been able to get to the Colectivo on time. And since I only had the information that the bus behind the border leaves at 12:00 and 4:00 p.m., my choice was sealed, as I wouldn't have been able to get the bus otherwise and didn't want to wait until 4:00 p.m. We agreed on €30 for an hour's journey and then reluctantly set off...

In hindsight you're smarter, maybe he was right and there really aren't any Colectivos on Saturdays, of course I don't know, but maybe he completely fooled me. Anyway, we drove through the pampas at 140kmh sometimes without safety belts. So there were seat belts but no counterparts😅

After a short search by the police in front of the border, a siege by Mexicans eager to sell (a foreigner is taken to the border alone in a taxi -> he must have money and wants to buy all our stuff...😂) and a short hike, I arrived at the border house . And here I was faced with the next "fear" because I didn't have this document that the guy in San Cristóbal was constantly talking about. Absolutely unnecessary. I was asked where I came from, where I wanted to go, stamped in and done. I was in the first house for less than 5 minutes to leave. A few meters further, I was in Guatemala. I got my entry stamp in a small hut on the side of the road, no questions or anything. Wonderful. With a bad exchange rate, I was able to exchange my remaining pesos for Quetzales to at least pay for the bus.

I hadn't paid attention to the clock anymore but when I saw a bus pulling up to Santa Elena I knew it was 12 o'clock. So I quickly jumped up and off we went. With interruptions, many interruptions, we had to bring empty bottles to a supermarket, then someone got a few chicken eggs and then the driver bought a honeydew melon. The first stop was very beneficial to me because I hadn't been to the toilet for a few hours, but I hadn't noticed it until then. When I came back, everyone bought themselves an ice cream and we continued relaxed. This went on for 4 hours until I arrived in Flores around 4 p.m. After another 30 minutes I was at the ho(s)tel, actually a hotel with two 4-bed rooms within my budget🫠. I optimistically postponed the purchase of a SIM card until the next day and devoted myself solely to the purchase. While cooking, I chatted with a German and enjoyed the view of the lake. Because Flores is partly on an island in a lake.

After the first incredibly warm night in Flores, I went to the mall to get some cash and a SIM card. Neither one nor the other worked. It's Sunday and the cell phone providers are closed. The ATM wouldn't pay me any money, so I tracked down another one...and a third. Unsuccessful. I then checked at the hotel and found that my withdrawal limit was set too low...😑

Once that was fixed, it miraculously worked. I was also able to squeeze in a walk around the island before lunch (it only takes 20 minutes to walk around the island😂). In the middle of the island there is a small street food stand that looked very promising, and it was. A taco, a burrito, a torta and a fresh pineapple juice for €3.60, not bad. Later we went for a swim in the lake and ended the day on the terrace.

On February 5th, 2024 I tried my luck again with the cell phone providers... the entire system for new registrations in Guatemala is down, but is running. It should probably be possible again on Thursday or Friday, let's see. Then probably without internet outside of the hostels for now. I set off around 10 because I wanted to go to another village on this lake, El Remate. A colectivo then took me there. El Remate is a village of 2000? residents and actually only consists of 2 streets, a main street and a hotel and restaurant street right on the lake. My ho(s)tel (same concept as in Flores, only nicer) is located directly on the lake and the jungle, it has its own beautiful jetty with great sunsets. From here I plan to go to Tikal, one of the largest Mayan cities.

I walked a bit along the main street, which is about 20 minutes from the hotel, and noticed that there felt like nothing here😂. I threw myself into the hammock on the terrace and listened to the sounds of the jungle. At sunset we went out of the room with the others onto the jetty and into the lake, super beautiful. At around 7 p.m. we ordered our dinner here in the hotel/restaurant. Some people got the wrong thing, one wanted a soup without chicken, and a soup with chicken came. It was brought up and the soup went into the kitchen for what felt like a minute, the chicken was fished out and the same soup came back 😂. At least my noodles were right. We sat here until around 10 p.m., even though all the staff had already left.

Today (06.02.24) I got up early because the shuttle to Tikal was supposed to leave at 08:45. Since I didn't know whether breakfast would take as long as dinner, I planned enough time😅. In fact, it didn't take that long, but I got into a conversation with someone who was only in the lake for a short time yesterday, Kian. He and his wife also planned to go to Tikal today, but they have some kind of all-inclusive deal with the owner here, which is why he's going to Tikal. Yes, one thing led to another and I went to Tikal with them for free. We arrived at 10:00 a.m. and Santiago picked us up again at 4:30 p.m. Since the two of them were on a "private tour", I didn't want to disturb them and said that we would meet back at the parking lot at 4:30 p.m.

So now I was in a huge park full of Mayan temples and cool animals. It was similar to Palenque but much, much bigger. It was amazing, temples hidden everywhere and sometimes nothing at all for 20 minutes except the jungle with its inhabitants. I could see toucans, spider monkeys, (tapirs or a type of wild boar), coatis and a few birds. Beautiful. Unfortunately, I could only hear the howler monkeys again; whenever I was on their trail, they fell silent...

The view from Temple 2 and 4 was breathtaking. Especially from Temple 4, there was only jungle far and wide and a few temples that also towered over the trees. Craziness. In between I met the other two but they were also traveling alone. I took a lot of breaks at the temples to simply take in these mighty buildings. Tens of meters high and over 1,500 years old, it's unimaginable what they achieved back then. At around 3 p.m. I met Kian, he was painting and we went to the exit together. He's a really interesting guy and we had a good chat. And he, like everyone else, recommended that I stay at Lake Atitlán for a few days. I'm very excited about the places there. Anyway, we sat in the restaurant for quite some time, talking and waiting for his wife (unfortunately I can't remember her name). After she bought a few souvenirs, Santiago almost came and took us back to the hotel. Why he swapped the ancient BMW without a seat belt and without a functioning speed display for the cool pickup this time is a mystery to me. But it was an interesting trip😂 I watched the sunset again at/in the lake.

很长一段时间以来，看起来我们无法拜访塞琳和本尼。但在我们旅行的四周前，我们终究还是把旅行地点、航班和假期计划安排妥当。

12月8日，我们踏上了旅程，准备陪伴他们一段长久期待的旅程。危地马拉和伯利兹是我们的目的地。两个充满惊喜的国家，我们一同度过了许多美好的时刻。

起初的旅程有些波折。午夜时分，我们抵达危地马拉城，原本应该在旅社与塞琳和本尼见面。他们大约应该在我们之前五小时从尼加拉瓜乘坐巴士抵达旅社。但在旅社，我们得知情况并非如此。由于我们没有SIM卡，沟通变得相当困难。幸运的是，我们收到了短信，得知他们的巴士晚点了8小时。🤦‍♂️

第二天早晨，当我们发现他们实际上到达了并且在隔壁房间时，惊喜倍增——旅程可以开始了！

在第一次共进早餐后，我们拿起租来的小车出发前往El Paredon，一个位于危地马拉西海岸的小冲浪村。出发去太平洋！前往那里的路程包括了旅行指南和汽车租赁公司所警告的所有内容：市区里的摩托车手，每条公路上都有巨大的坑洞，巴士司机认为自己是在开一级方程式赛车，意外的驼峰（用于调节速度的路面升高）以及突然变成碎石路的柏油街。小心驾驶和足够的时间是到达目的地的必要条件。

而El Paredon的氛围则是轻松而悠闲，被酷炫的感觉和友好的人们所包围。

由于我们的住宿没有Wi-Fi，我们在一个海滩酒吧偷偷摸摸得到了密码。我们在那里喝过一次，然而无数次我们则站在酒吧外面以获取信息或者预定下一个住宿。😄

天气极好，白天气温超过30度，阳光明媚，沙滩美妙黑色，完美适合我们展示冲浪技巧。🤳🏽 可以这样说，玩“游戏”纸牌和晚上喝朗姆酒时，我们表现得稍微好一些。📌🍻

三晚后，我们便经过安提瓜，危地马拉的旧首都，再前往阿卡滕戈火山。我们将面临一段极具挑战的徒步旅行，海拔超过4600米（上下总计），在3700米的基地营过夜，并额外攀登活火山菲戈。两天的行程内容挑战性十足，但俯瞰喷火的菲戈火山却绝对值得！我们的向导们友好和乐于助人，激励着我们，高喊着口号：“Vamos Chicos！Vamos！”😄

在危地马拉和伯利兹的时光被来自德国的一则消息笼罩：家中的一位亲人去世。我们很感谢Sandra和Max的陪伴❤️（感谢你们的许多谈话和建议，感谢你们的支持和陪伴）

我们在悲伤中挣扎，并思考该做什么：回家还是继续旅行。继续享受，体验，海滩上放松的感觉似乎都有些不对，知道家中的情况。我们希望能在这个圣诞节陪伴家人。这也是我们决定不再更新旅行博客的原因。继续写这段旅程似乎并不合适。我们在寻找返回德国的可能性。

在与德国的持续联系和几次情感上的低谷后，我们决定继续旅行。尤其是家人对此的支持，使我们感到继续旅行是正确的选择。我的姑姑发来的一则非常情感化的消息最终让我决定留下来。

但是，在做出决定后，我们仍然不断产生疑虑，这是否是正确的选择！？😭

在阿提特兰湖之后，我们乘坐巴士前往危地马拉北部的佛洛雷斯。

佛洛雷斯是一个位于广袤丛林边缘的城市，这片丛林延伸至墨西哥境内。我们在佛洛雷斯岛上找到了住宿，这是一座位于佩滕伊萨湖中心的小岛。这里是一个可爱的小岛，拥有许多色彩斑斓的小房子，充满了丛林城市的魅力。从我们的青年旅馆，我们可以用独木舟直接驶向湖面。

这个地区早在很久以前就有人居住，当时是伟大的玛雅帝国的一部分。首都蒂卡尔大约有50,000人。由于帝国衰落的原因至今仍不明确，该城市被丛林重新夺回，直到19世纪才被重新发现。

许多令人印象深刻的庙宇通过精心的修复工作得以很好地保存下来。当你在蒂卡尔的街道上漫步或登上寺庙时，会感到时光倒流。时至今日，在夏至和冬至、春分和秋分以及满月和新月等重要节日，玛雅的后裔仍然会在那里举行仪式。我们很幸运能在大美洲虎庙和面具庙之间参与一场庆祝仪式。

危地马拉的十二月充满了令人兴奋的经历。

我们参观了圣佩德罗和圣地亚哥两座城市。圣佩德罗位于同名火山的脚下，以众多餐馆（特别是以色列餐馆）和夜生活而闻名。

圣地亚哥是湖边最古老的玛雅城市，以其大型而多样化的市场而著称。与圣佩德罗相比，圣地亚哥的旅游开发较少，更加传统。

除了湖边的许多小城镇外，您还可以享受大自然。例如，您可以在该地区的众多瀑布中进行一次远足。

对我们来说，一个特别的亮点是参观一个可可农场。它不是传统意义上的农场，而是一个健康的自然生态系统，可可树可以在没有化学物质影响的丛林中生长。农民胡安·唐向我们展示了不同的可可品种。此外，我们和我们那位源自玛雅的导游一起在森林中进行了可可和烟草仪式。烟草在玛雅文化中也是一种神圣的植物。

在12月24日，我们与在圣马尔科斯的朋友们共进了圣诞晚餐。每个人都带来一道来自他们家乡的菜肴。我们做了奥地利风味的面包球，配上蘑菇酱。

我们乘坐“鸡巴士”（危地马拉典型的交通工具）前往安提瓜。这段公交车旅程本身就是一次冒险。你只需跳上最近的公交车，希望能朝着目标更近一些。在途中，我们不断需要换车。

经过一段疯狂的旅程，我们安全抵达安提瓜，这是一座位于火山附近的小城镇。第二天我们被接走，前往阿卡滕戈的山脚，开始我们的旅行。

到达营地（3700米）的攀登是通过一片雾林，经过4.5小时我们到达了营地。从那里我们能看到火山Fuego的壮丽景色。

休息了1小时后，我们继续前进，花费2.5小时直接到达Fuego。在火山的山脊上，我们距离活火山口只有1公里。风力强劲，导致我们不得不抓住地面才能不失去支撑。然而，从那里我们看到壮观的日落和炽热的熔岩。我们能亲身体验到令人惊叹的喷发和自然的原始力量。

在返回的路上，我们的体力逐渐耗尽，使得返回营地的徒步旅行在完全黑暗中变得更加困难。返回时，我们的晚餐和热巧克力正在等待我们，以温暖身心。

经过短暂一夜，我们在早上4点开始攀登阿卡滕戈的顶部。在接近4000米的高度，我们观察到日出在云层之上。

在开始漫长的下降前，我们还享用了早餐。

这是一次难忘的经历，能够如此接近一个活火山。

在阿提特兰湖周围，有许多玛雅村庄，因此你也有机会了解他们的文化。我们参加了一场玛雅可可和火焰仪式。在那里，我们了解到一些关于神圣可可和玛雅日历的知识。

除了文化活动，还有许多在美丽背景下的木平台上的舞蹈和瑜伽活动。

Welcome to Lake Atitlan

After this torture for our bodies, we were looking for a place where we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Of course, everything on a backpacker budget. For this, we chose Lake Atitlan. The lake is about 1/5 the size of Lake Constance. In the midst of volcanoes, an oasis of diversity has formed. Small villages are located in the individual bays, which could not be more different in vibe. However, everywhere you were reminded of Lake Como or Lake Garda. One of these places was San Pedro (a party place that we stayed away from), San Juan (the most local) or San Marcos (a hippie stronghold). We decided to take the shuttle to the latter place directly after descending from the volcano at 2 PM. We spent the first night in an unremarkable hostel, which we quickly left the next day. Then we stopped at Ahau. This hostel convinced us so much that we stayed here for 5 nights. The two owners, Erikk and Daniel, have turned the place into a small tropical home for travelers. Erikk's favorite saying was "Peace & Love" and Daniel's was "See you in the future". We lived in a German bubble of 8 people and did many day trips, family dinners, and an aloe vera production together. For example, we went to Cerro Tzankujil (Nature Reserve), Indian Nose, or Chichicastenango.

Cerro Tzankujil

On Wednesday, we walked to the small nature reserve Cerro Tzankujil. Just a 10-minute walk from our hostel at the river, there is a small oasis next to a small harbor. On the one hand, there were many viewpoints here to look out over the lake and enjoy the day in peace. The green of the trees and the blue of the lake harmonized perfectly. On the other hand, there was also a 12-meter high diving platform into the lake, to find the inner balance between adventure and relaxation.

Unfortunately, our journey changed a bit here because Tino broke his foot here. It is now forgiven. We had everything checked in a hospital with an X-ray machine. Due to the exertion from the hike to the two volcanoes, his body could no longer provide full support in case of a misstep.

Indian Nose

On Friday morning, 5 of us set our alarms at 3:45 AM so that we could start our way to Indian Nose at 4 AM. We managed to leave at 4:15 AM. It was going to be challenging because according to Apple, the sunrise was supposed to be at 5:39 AM. Since we wanted to do it without a tour, and I staged this, I was chosen as the tour guide and had this written on my chest. Unfortunately, there is no chicken bus (name for the public colorful buses) from San Marcos, so we simply set out in the dark at night and wanted to see if we could find a bus, a tuk-tuk, or a hitchhike. After a few minutes, we found a tuk-tuk driver who offered to take us to San Pablo, where we could get on a chicken bus. Since there was really nothing on the streets anymore, we agreed and negotiated the price down a bit. On the way, I had to get out several times because the slope was too steep for the 6 of us. Accordingly, I always walked a bit ahead. When we arrived in San Pablo, we realized that if we waited for the bus, we would miss the sunrise. However, we negotiated an acceptable price again and were driven to the entrance of the park. After a short time, a man with a machete and a camouflage jacket came towards us in the middle of the forest and fields and told us that he was the guard of this private property. I had heard before that a father and his son would rob tourists without a guide with a machete. I told everyone about this, and we were a little nervous, but his articulation did not match that of a robber. We decided to follow him, and he took us to the beginning of the hike, where he then asked each of us for 50 Quetzales (about €6). This was also written on a self-made sign. I knew that the entrance to Indian Nose cost exactly the same amount. We paid the bill and were supposed to do the 20-minute hike alone. When we arrived at the top, we realized that we were about 20 meters below the actual viewpoint on a privately built lookout point. However, we were there exactly at 5:39 AM and we were the only ones there with the same view. We were happy about the privacy and the fact that nothing happened to us. Now we enjoyed the rising sun over Lake Atitlan and its volcanoes for over half an hour. When we got back down, our guard was waiting for us and transported us on a pickup truck for only 5 Quetzales, which took us to the next village, from where we walked home. We stood in the back of the open load area and could continue looking out over the lake. All in all, this made the trip super adventurous and we will never forget it.

我始终走在最前面，我们保持良好的速度。因此，虽然很累，但仍然能够到达营地。我们在这里欣赏到喷发的火焰，烟雾在不断冒出，听到隆隆声，雾气逐渐加重。

中午12点，一位登山向导为我们带来了食物。与前一天相同的餐。在座的每个人都迅速消灭了这顿饭。我们的身体还需要补偿前一天的爬升。我很高兴我没有肌肉酸痛。尽管如此，我们都在昨晚穿的衣服中度过，我认真考虑下一次洗澡是否要给自己一个机会。最终决定放弃。天气冷，且我没有带干毛巾。

Pepian - 危地马拉 1ec1f9 的国民菜肴

Pepian 应该是我旅程中的第一道炖菜。恰巧这也是危地马拉的国民菜。在我尝试这道菜之前，它就已经被自己制作出来了。我选择了素食版本。通常，Pepian 传统上是用鸡肉烹制的。这里使用鸡肉高汤作为基础。我将其换成了一种简单的蔬菜高汤。

Cerro del la Cruz
