25.6.2024 Dubrovnik
I reached the old town by shuttle bus at around 11 a.m. Since I wanted to climb the famous city walls, I bought the Dubrovnik Pass online for a whopping 35 euros. I entered the old town and found an entrance to the city walls - many, many steps!
Then I set off on a tour of the city. There is a wonderful view from the wall. The wall is very well maintained and in some places they even offer food and drinks.
At one such point I heard my name called and was invited to sit at a table with fellow travelers. I ordered a refreshing homemade lemonade and chatted. Then I continued walking until I had completely circled the old town.
My Dubrovnik Pass also allowed me access to various museums. Unfortunately not to the Dali exhibition. So I went to the "Maritime Museum". But that now says it's an aquarium, which my pass wasn't valid for. Annoying.
I had actually planned to skip lunch. But then I discovered a restaurant that had "shark steak" on the menu. Of course I had to try it. I thought it was delicious.
The city was now so full of tourists that I found it uncomfortable. I first took refuge in the small and almost deserted natural history museum before heading towards the bus stop and just catching a shuttle bus there.
Once on the ship, I went swimming again to relax and recover from the heat.
At dinner, there were eight of us at our table for the first time. We had never been all together before.
Afterwards I went to the theater to see "Piano Man", a show in which all the "Voices of Royal" and the Serenade Orchestra gave their best.
