The next day, I had to work again at 10 AM.
When I arrived there, a friend from Australia was still at the children's home, and I talked with him. I also did some laundry while there, and then a former intern from Germany, who completed her volunteer service at the children's home six years ago, showed up. I could exchange a lot with her and gain a better understanding of her experiences with the children. It was very interesting.
By the time I got home at 2 PM, I had lunch with Jasmin and then packed my things for the weekend.
We booked an Airbnb again for the weekend in a city (Ubud). However, this time we are taking a taxi, as I've heard several times that the roads and traffic in Ubud can be much worse. We paid 15€ for the two-hour ride.
Although we could have made it in just one hour by scooter, it was much more pleasant to sit in a car.
The Airbnb was right in the city on a narrow street where the market was also held daily.
In the evening, we also strolled a bit through the market and went out to eat.
Here, you really get approached on every corner to buy or eat something.
