Ötztaler Urweg Stage 12 from Sautens to Ötztal Bahnhof

On the last stage, there were no major climbs to tackle anymore as we moved further away from the mountains into the Inntal valley. Starting from Sautens, we walked slightly uphill and downhill along forest tracks and paths with stones and roots, requiring some concentration. Passing by the Kreuzkapelle, the route followed a part of a circular path until we arrived at the viewpoint of the Tschirgant. From here, you have a view over the Inntal and the opposite mountain mine, which are generally not so pleasant to look at. We then descended further to Ötzbrück and Roppen, where we crossed the River Inn. On the other side, we walked several kilometers on a cycle path to Haiming and crossed the river again there. In Haiming, a circle closed, 35 years ago !!! Lars and I went rafting in Haiming and the organizer 'faszinatour' from back then still exists. A few kilometers later, we arrived in Ötztal Bahnhof after 19.4km, with an ascent of 367m and a descent of 470m.
