Around 9:15 am, we should stand by the road to wait for the local bus. It came up from the valley and took us in the opposite direction first, while explaining that we would have the best seats this way. As a typical German, you may feel unsure at first, but everything goes on as usual here. Most people are very friendly, always asking where you're from and where you're going, and enjoying small talk. The ride on the "local bus" is an adventure in itself. The crew consisted of three men, with incense and loud Nepalese music in the cockpit, constant honking and stopping to pick up people or luggage from the valley. In Pokhara, we took a long city walk, rented a boat, and took a ride on the beautiful Phewa Lake. In the evening, we waited for our taxi driver in a bar and took an adventurous drive back to the mountains.
