This morning we visited a beautiful and interesting tool museum in Kobe, the Takenaka Tool Museum.
The exhibits represent the breadth and wealth of the world of carpentry tools. A journey through history, tools, and craftsmanship showcases the variety and mechanisms of carpentry tools.
Afterwards, we strolled through the old town with its beautiful shopping opportunities and also visited China Town Nankinmachi.
We took the train to the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery, which also includes a museum. After a short sake tasting, luckily the way led us directly to the shop, so we were able to stock up on sake.
After 8 days in Japan, we have already adapted to their habits very well, which makes it difficult for us to keep our eyes open during the train or subway ride.
After freshening up at the hotel, we walked over the beautiful hotel bridge to Harborland, where shops and restaurants invited us to linger.
After a fine gin or limoncello, we all met for a joint dinner together with Miyuki's youngest sister and her family. We were able to enjoy a delicious yakiniku meal (meat grilled in the Japanese style) with a magnificent view.
After a nightcap, we walked leisurely along the harbor to our hotel and already saw the preparations in front of some doors for the predicted typhoon.
