Woke up early.. one hour before the alarm clock - no more sleep for me. Last days were filled with anxiety and mixed feelings.

Did I thought of everything?

Will everything be alright with the tenant?

Will I make friends to travel with?

I’ve already been abroad for 3 months before but this time I don’t have any plans what I’m going to do ...

Leaving the apartment in Berlin at 7am with my beloved ones my first flight departed at 9:30 from Tegel to Singapore. Flight’s being operated by SCOOT, a long distance low cost airline. What can I say ... the plane feels exactly like Ryanair and Easyjet ... just bigger 😄

Still recommend this airline! No entertainment and free meal included. Be prepared to get what you pay for and you’ll be fine.

Arrived in Singapore after a 12 hours flight I have 9 hours until the next flight to Perth.

Walking around the airport gives me a throwback to 2016, when I was working for Siemens at Kuala Lumpur for 2 months. Selamat Datang!

Whilst enjoying a hot meal I’m looking for new posts at the Perth backpackers group on Facebook... a group of six people are looking for travelmates for a road trip from Perth to the south and afterwards to the east coast... exactly what my overall idea was!

Dropped him a PM and got into a chat really quickly.

Now I’m on the plane to Perth and Tom (the guy from Facebook) will pick me up from the airport with his car and drive me to the hostel while discussing the details of the road trip, to see if it works out 🤙

Sometimes things come easier and faster than you think..
