π. Contrary to all expectations, the train station and the train ride were very organized and punctual. Only with a boarding pass and passport, you could even get to the platform. Once we arrived there, we took our reserved seats - because everyone had an assigned seat. We started at 9:00 am β. A little chaotic, but it started. The Deutsche Bahn could learn a thing or two from them. βπΌβπΌ
We had nearly 8.5 hours of train ride ahead of us. What can you do in 8.5 hours?
- fly quite far ππ«
- drive across Germanyππ¨
- have a nice activity (walk, hiking, bike riding)
- take a long nap π or or or.
For us, it was filled with many more impressions, landscapes, different cultures, and people. Once through Java by train. Exhausting but worth experiencing.
5:30 pm arrival π§ β β. The first time rain - except for a few drops last night. We quickly put the backpacks in the rain cover and continued on.
After desperately searching for a taxi for an hour, we purposefully took a tuk-tuk. It was actually only 8km to the hotel π¨ and after negotiating the price and the driver signaling "no problem," we got into the completely overloaded vehicle. It was a long drive, not only because of the distance, but also because the driver thought it was too far and wanted to kick us out halfway. Now we are tired and exhausted, finally arrived at the hotel.
Last act of the day: hanging up mosquito nets. Falk is in high demand π€ͺ
We are done with the world βπΌ ππ«
