Heyyoo,
today we started our day relaxed with our breakfast. At half past nine, we left the campsite and drove towards the Gold Coast.🚐
Our first stop was 'Surfersparadise'. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play along today, we didn't have any sun and it was very windy. Nevertheless, we took a walk on the beach, put our feet in the water, collected some shells on the side, and then went to Skypoint.🤩
At Skypoint, we bought our ticket and went up 77 floors. Once we arrived at the top, we were able to admire a panoramic view of the Gold Coast and Australia.
After Skypoint, we went to Snapper Rocks, a small rock formation recommended to us by a German person we met at a campsite yesterday. Unfortunately, it started raining, which made the view not so nice.
Then we decided to drive to Springbrook National Park, which was recommended to us by a German person we met at a campsite yesterday. We drove for over an hour to the national park, with 90% of it being uphill. Today, we were able to see incredibly beautiful landscapes and natural beauties. Finally, we visited a waterfall and a lookout point before heading back down to civilization. 😅
When we drove to our campsite and couldn't find it, we decided to call them. The nice man on the phone explained to us that it's not possible to allow campers on the campsite due to the heavy rain, as it would be too risky to damage the ground.
So we looked for a new campsite, right on Byron Bay. However, it was already full at 9 p.m. and we had to keep looking. 🤷🏼♀️ We found another one nearby, and as they say, 'third time's the charm'. Finally, at half past nine, we found a campsite where we're now staying. We quickly had dinner and now we're going to sleep. Good night and greetings from Byron Bay, Australia. 😇
