Hello everyone,
Yesterday we arrived in Hungary - more precisely in Tiszafüred - after an exciting car ride. We took a lot of traffic jams with us and didn't choose a Saturday for the next day of travel.
The last 1.5 days in Vienna were also beautiful.
After we came back from Bratislava, due to the beautiful cloudy weather without rain, we decided to visit the Belvedere Palace. Since there is little shade here, we didn't want to do it when it was 34 degrees and the sun was shining. You could have scratched me off the floor afterwards.
So it was a pleasant 27 degrees without sunshine.
I would still have liked to have swum a few laps in the ponds.
There was a lot to discover in the castle garden. And if you got lost, there were nice ladies who showed you the way:
I think that was the muse for astronomy - Uriania. Recognizable by their celestial body.
We also saw an 8-legged statue.
I prefer the pickles a lot. Unfortunately we couldn't find the glass for it.
A bit of dancing was also possible again in between with the temperatures.
But the dancing was over when I discovered a large door. And how could it be otherwise, a large door arouses great curiosity.
Unfortunately, like many other doors, it was locked.
After this beautiful garden we drove to the Swound Sound at Usus and experienced a beautiful sunset.
After that it was back home and to bed. On Friday we hung around until the afternoon and had a nice lazy day until we drove into town around 5 and to the Albertina for a candlelight concert by a string quartet.
Some of the greatest soundtracks and film scores by Hans Zimmer were played. It was really, really beautiful, and some of the pieces I could picture the scenes from the film in front of my eyes.
This took place in the Albertina in the Hall of Muses. I thought that was extremely appropriate for the whole concert. The mood was really really nice and calm. After that we had the opportunity to smuggle through some art exhibitions in the Albertina. Everything from Picasso to Monet was there. I'll show you my favorite pieces now:
After the Albertina we met up with Lady Linda for a nightcap and went for a drink on the Adriatic Sea. There was definitely something going on
All in all, we really liked Vienna. Many thanks Vienna and many thanks Andi and Linda- it was a pleasure !!!! 😍
