Air conditioning is a device used to create and maintain a pleasant or necessary indoor air quality (temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and CO2 level) regardless of weather, waste heat, and human and technical emissions. It is a wonderful invention, especially when it is hot. However, fellow travelers don't seem to think so and prefer to sleep in an oven.
Anyway, today we set off towards Bryce Canyon. The travel time was previously estimated at 6:30 hours, as we had planned numerous stops.
We passed through Marble Canyon, the Color Pink Sand Dunes, and our last intermediate stop was Cedar Breaks National Monument. All of them have ignited their own magical effect in us and show us once again how diverse the USA is. During the trip, the temperature dropped from 36°C to 15°C. We started the journey at 2000 meters altitude, dropped to 1000 meters in between, and reached a maximum of 3000 meters. Even nature has changed drastically. From red sandstone to light vegetation, which ended in a pine forest and lakes.
At least I can feel my tailbone a little and I'm glad to be able to go hiking tomorrow.
Today's trip: 270 miles
