In my seventh week, Julian and I traveled from Almería to Little Hollywood in the Sierra Nevada National Park.
Little Hollywood is a western town where several Hollywood movies have been filmed. However, we skipped the sightseeing and only used the good sleeping spot for a hike in the desert and the canyon.
After that, we went to the Sierra Nevada National Park. The highest mountains here (just over 3000m) are covered in snow. We stayed at the edge of the mountains in Fuente Victoria at a winery parking lot, then at a parking lot in Juviles, and afterwards at a camping site near Trevélez at 1500m. Here too, we went hiking.
The hike in Fuente Victoria took us 14 km through a pine forest to the disused hydroelectric power plant.
The small white villages in Andalusia are always beautiful to look at and so far I'm not tired of them ;-)
We skipped New Year's Eve and went to bed at 10 p.m. The 15 km hike really tired us out.
Today we drove to the Béznar Reservoir, from where we will continue to Granada tomorrow.
