From the sauna to the fridge.

Today we spent the first half of the day still in Las Vegas.

First on the agenda was shopping. The air-conditioned shopping center was quite pleasant considering the scorching temperatures in Vegas even in the morning.

Afterwards, we visited two must-see tourist locations: the Hard Rock Café with many costumes and instruments from the biggest stars, and of course, the Las Vegas sign!

During our tour of the hotels on Thursday, we not only visited the extravagant entrances and casinos.

Upon the request of a certain person, we visited the Titanic exhibition at the Luxor (the pyramid). This exhibition was special because it displayed many original items from the ship. There were also individual rooms designed to resemble those on the actual Titanic. For example, we stood on the deck and looked at the stars, in a first-class room, and (this was the highlight 😍) in front of the grand wooden staircase that should be familiar to anyone who has seen the movie.

After Verena had her fill, it was time to do something for Maxi.

The roller coaster in front of the New York, New York hotel (which looks like the Manhattan skyline), which also took a short ride through the casino, was just to Maxi's taste!

Unfortunately, we couldn't see everything there is to see in Las Vegas in the 2 1/2 days. But with the exorbitant prices, the heat, and the multitude of highlights, it's almost impossible to visit everything. However, we were very satisfied with our itinerary.

Walking 23 kilometers a day is eventually enough 😉😋

Back to today's program. As a conclusion for Nevada (and for Maxi to feel a bit at home 😋), we made a short detour to the Hoover Dam.

The dimensions are truly gigantic and from a nearby bridge, we had a great view of the dam.

Now we have arrived in the third state - Arizona.

Unfortunately, it was already dark when we arrived here. So we will be surprised tomorrow about how it looks here 😉

Tomorrow we will continue with the report from the Grand Canyon! ⛰🏔🗻

See you then!

Maxi and Verena
