The national parks, the Tara Gorge, and many clouds..

Rakabudiswa: 26.09.2017

Yesterday we didn't write anything - for several reasons:

1. We went hiking, beautiful but uneventful

2. Michelle had a sore throat and a runny nose, and through all the snuggling (not complaining) I probably caught it too, so last night we were more or less sickly and lying in bed at Johann's, disinfecting our throats with tea and alcohol, only occasionally reaching up to turn up the heat...

3. We ran out of gas, even though everyone says it lasts forever (that's not the reason we didn't write anything, I just wanted to mention it)

Today we set off in search of a pharmacy, a filled gas bottle, and of course the legendary Tara Gorge.

We found everything:

1. The Tara Gorge, not very spectacular, but beautiful, and a little dramatic with all the clouds and fog.

2. The gas, which was very bizarre, you always exchange the bottles, filling the bottles can't be done at the gas station, I think.

But the gas station attendant told me we should move away from the gas station's surveillance camera, then he pulled out his self-welded tank adapter and filled our gas bottle with gas for gas-powered cars.. well, if it works.. (it works) But to protect the gas station attendant from prosecution, we won't tell you which gas station it was.

3. The pharmacy. just for your information --> we're healthier than yesterday.

Now we're sitting in the rainy Biogradska National Park, but our health, the warm interior of Johann, and the rain are keeping us from hiking. We'll probably continue driving today, to Lake Skadar, and then to Sveti Stefan tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

A word about the roads:

The main routes are deluxe. Very nice asphalt, nice and wide.

Some smaller roads are such that you have to pull over to the right when someone is coming from the opposite direction, but traffic is minimal. So driving is relaxing and varied, very curvy, I'm sure it's great on a motorcycle too.

In the afternoon, we drove to Lake Skadar, where we found one of those more or less single-lane roads ;) But the view of the inflow or outflow? of Lake Skadar was magnificent! And luckily there wasn't a lot of traffic!

The campsite is .. let's say interesting, and now we're going to the fish restaurant across the street for some food..
