30.04.17 Usedom Zinnowitz

Rakabudiswa: 15.06.2017

Finally a long weekend.

At home, there is a lot of work waiting for us, whether in the garden or in the house. We hope for sunny days and short trips in the area with the motorcycle. The weather forecast gives us hope.

But it doesn't really work with sun and warmth. According to the weather report, the sky is supposed to be blue in the east and the sun is shining. Hard to believe when you see the sky here - gray clouds - wind and occasional light rain. It's still cold.

On Saturday evening, we decide tomorrow we're going into the sun. Usedom, that's where it's supposed to shine. We spontaneously choose a route and start the next morning around 07:30 a.m. With clouds, wind, and light rain. The temperature is 7 degrees. After it starts to rain behind Lübeck, we take the motorway until Rostock. Hoping it will get better. At least in Rostock, no rain.

At the city harbor, we treat ourselves to a delicious fish sandwich. We encourage each other and try to keep warm. Was that really such a great idea?!? We continue driving. The weather tests our patience.

But just before we reach Usedom, the sky clears up and the sun is shining! !!! We enjoy it and drive onto the island. In Zinnowitz, we finally want to see the beach and drive down to the promenade. We decide to look for a room here. Right on the beach with the sound of the sea. If possible. It works at the Hotel Vineta, we even get a room with a balcony and sea view!!!!

You can hear the sea roaring.

Take off the motorcycle gear - down to the beach and enjoy the sun, the sand, and the sea.

Everything done right - out of everyday life.

After a cozy evening with fish and a few beers, we go to sleep. The next morning, a radiant blue sky welcomes us and the sun is shining. We like it here. Usedom, we'll be back. On the way home, we'll make a detour to Stralsund. Enjoy a bit of vacation and the drive. Hang the thoughts and have time for yourself.

Always beautiful.
