Hello hello!
From Phong Nha, we took a night bus to Hanoi. The journey was very adventurous ;) Upon arrival in Hanoi, we bought winter jackets and plunged into the hustle and bustle. We arrived two days before the start of the Lunar New Year celebrations. The streets were filled with people making their last minute preparations for the holidays. Traditional decorations and food were being sold. Here, we also visited the family of our good friend Diana and had a drink at their cafe with a wonderful view of West Lake. Unfortunately, we couldn't celebrate the new year in Vietnam because our visa had expired. Since the visa couldn't be extended, we spent New Year's Eve in Bangkok. A day later, we re-entered Vietnam with a new visa. Due to the holidays, the city was transformed. There was almost no traffic and we could breathe a little easier. In and around the Old Quarter, many people spent their time with friends and family in cafes, restaurants, or taking walks in the sun.
Greetings!
