Vietnam - Day 7

Today was not an exciting day. After breakfast 🍳, we set off to Phan Thiet, the nearest big city, on our scooter.

When we arrived there, it was already about 95 degrees and the humidity was just as high - if someone finds the most impossible time to be on the road, it's definitely us! 🙄

Our goal in Phan Thiet was to find a market. Hoping to have found one, we parked our scooter and went into the small, very narrow alley. But apart from a ton of scooter riders, Vietnamese people on foot, and one stall after another selling either fish, meat (of course unrefrigerated and only protected from the sun by an umbrella), or vegetables, there was nothing to see.

So we continued! But a market, at least the one we were looking for, was not in sight. Apart from many small shops that were piled up on the roadside, there wasn't much else. However, one shop caught our eye, a shoe store, where we immediately found what we were looking for (and Mirko finally believes me that Adidas shoes are more comfortable than any others) 👌🏼👟

On the way back, we passed by a fishing port. The Vietnamese set out very early - or even at night - to catch fish with their boats, or ships.

Afterwards, we went back to the hotel (the cool down in the pool was really nice after this excursion). In the evening, we went to a restaurant that was - so far - the best one for us. Finally, there was chicken that wasn't completely overcooked and therefore really tender! 🤗🎊 We will definitely come back here!

We ended the evening with a game of Monopoly (on the phone). Unfortunately, the good old 'gaming god' was not on Mirko's side here. The game was of course completely unfair and definitely rigged because he never loses normally 🤔
