Walpole, Denmark and Albany - big trees and beautiful beaches

(Eucalyptus species). The highest point was 40 meters above the ground. The trees are up to 400 years old and can reach heights of up to 75 meters. After a brief detour to the village of Denmark, we headed to Peaceful Bay Beach to go snorkeling. Thanks to our wetsuits, we weren’t really cold and enjoyed the play of light underwater. The name suits the beach well; it was peaceful and only a few people visited it. Finally, we drove to the Perry Beach Campground right by the sea. </p><p> 13.09 - Today we hit well-known tourist hotspots, including Elephant Rock, a rock formation that looks like a herd of elephants. We also snorkeled in the Greens Pool. Despite the wetsuit, it was very cold, but thanks to the coffee at the parking lot and the sun, we warmed up again soon. Another tourist destination was the blowholes in Torndirrup National Park. Unfortunately, we were disappointed here; only sounds came from the holes and no water. Afterwards, we also visited the Sharp Point Lookout, where snakes and whales could be observed. The final destination of today was Albany. This city was larger than expected. On a little exploratory trip through Albany, we grabbed pizza for dinner. </p>

12.09 - 13.09 

 12.09 - After a night in the fairytale forest at the Crystal Spring Campground in D‘Entrecasteaux National Park, we moved on to the Giant Tingle Trees in Walpole. The night before, we were surprised by bouncing kangaroos 🦘. The Giant Tingle Trees are enormous trees that have been hollowed out from the inside by fire and time.
