Travel days always seem to go by quickly. Today is another one. 3 days in the Honeymoon Suite have already passed. Gone are the beautiful moments of having breakfast on the beach
or looking out at the sea with a glass of wine, searching for whales and dolphins, or simply letting our thoughts wander. Looking back, it was a really beautiful accommodation, despite our initial disappointment.
So, after one last breakfast on the beach, we pack our suitcases into the car once again, say our proper goodbyes, and leave.
Today, we're heading to the west coast and slowly making our way back to Auckland.
But slowly, because now it's time for Baylys Beach.
💡Baylys Beach is the gateway to Ripiro Beach, the longest drivable beach in New Zealand, with a length of 100 km. It's a sleepy holiday oasis and the perfect place to see the radiant splendor of the southern sky and the full glory of the Milky Way, as the sky is naturally dark here and the air, with the breeze from the Tasman Sea, is pure, causing the stars to shine like diamonds on black velvet.
So, let's hope the clouds clear up so we can admire it.
Today, our route is not as long, so we'll reach our next accommodations by late afternoon. What do you think of the view?
To enjoy from the kitchen, dining room, bathtub, bed, and even the toilet.
A wonderful location, a real stroke of luck 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
.......... until we opened the information folder. When booking, I didn't read that the house consists of 2 floors, which are rented separately, and that the kitchen, dining area, and living room are communal areas. "Great, an expensive hostel, except without bunk beds and with a private bathroom."
Tonight, we have the cabin all to ourselves, and tomorrow a Swiss couple will arrive. It could have been worse, at least we can have a conversation with them, I hope. We'll just spread our "towels" everywhere. (I can already see the question marks swirling above your heads - like reserving a sunbed by the pool on vacation).
Well, let's see, they are probably nice people and we'll have a lively conversation all evening.
But that's tomorrow. Today is all about relaxing and grilling.
Oh look, he got the wrong time. Easter is only in the summer here.
