After a short stopover in Thailand, I continued my journey to Malaysia. Since I had only spent 3 days at the beach so far, it was time to breathe in some sea air again.
Perhentian Islands
Located on the east coast of Malaysia, you can still find peace and beautiful beaches here. I chose my accommodation in a resort that was lovingly built by an artist couple. The coral reef right outside the door invited me to go snorkeling. Unfortunately, it cost me my camera, which apparently was no longer waterproof :(
Georgetown, Penang
After a 6-hour drive across the country, I reached the colonial Georgetown on the island of Penang on the west coast. The contrast couldn't have been greater. Skyscrapers and 100-year-old houses alternated with each other. Here, I got myself a new phone so that I can continue taking holiday pictures. And once again, it was time for a haircut ...
