Bye Bye Bali ๐Ÿ˜ฅ Welcome to Singapore

Byatangajwe: 05.06.2018

Yesterday, it was also our last day in Bali, we spent the whole day at the beach and I spent more time in the pool ๐Ÿ˜. It was too hot and boring for me on the sun lounger. So Daniela gave me her goggles and sent me diving in the pool ๐Ÿ˜‚. That way, she could listen to her audiobook in peace and I could dive in the pool multiple times ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘!

In the evening, we went to our favorite warung to have some delicious grilled fish. The tuna tasted fantastic ๐Ÿ˜‹. After that, we walked to our beach bar and said goodbye to the beach and the sea with some cocktails๐Ÿน๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™ˆ.

Since we both woke up extremely early today, we actually went to the beach for sunrise at 6:28 am ๐Ÿค—. Hmmm, we would have preferred to stay in Bali ๐Ÿ˜Ž. Well, we still had to have breakfast and pack. Something funny happened to me at breakfast ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚. I was wearing a pair of training pants with a large USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ print on the back and an elderly gentleman asked me if I was from America. Well, luckily not, I replied I. He looked at me in amazement and said he was from California ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ™ˆ Hmmm, grin.....! Yes, I said, but I still have problems with his president. He tried to explain to me that only half of Trump is bad and the other half is good. Yeah, yeah, I wished him a nice holiday in Bali ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘.

After our breakfast, we were picked up by a taxi ๐Ÿš• and taken to the airport. Everything went smoothly here too. I have to say, the security check and immigration officers were super nice and funny. Our flight took off half an hour late ๐Ÿ‘.

The flight time to Singapore was 2 hours and 30 minutes. The airport in Singapore is absolutely gigantic. Unbelievable! Our hotel is located on Orchard Road and we had researched beforehand that we could easily get there from the airport by MRT/subway. When we walked out of the exit onto Orchard Road, hmmmmm, what can I say or describe??? CULTURE SHOCK!!!! From the dreamy island of Bali, where no hotel can be taller than a palm tree ๐ŸŒด, to the futuristic metropolis of Singapore ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜! Unbelievable. What is actually even worse for me is the high humidity, it's unbearable.

We have a super awesome ๐Ÿ˜ hotel, I have to express it that way. Our room is on the 21st floor and when we shower or are in the bathroom, we have a view that almost makes me ๐Ÿ™ˆsick. The windows are floor-to-ceiling and you can look all the way down to the street. The room service consists of two small robots: Yoshi & Yolanda - no joke ๐Ÿ˜‚

Unfortunately, we were both too tired to go out. That will follow tomorrow.

Greetings from Singapore๐Ÿค—
