Since there was unfortunately a bit of a thunderstorm all evening, we stayed in Lillooet at our campground. We had a leisurely breakfast and set off for Whistler, our last stop with the camper. We drove back into the green part of Canada and enjoyed the breathtaking views on both sides of the highway.
We made a brief stop at Duffey Lake, a beautiful clear lake right next to the highway. A bit too cold to go swimming so early in the morning, unfortunately ;-) .
Our next stop was Nairn Falls in the eponymous Provincial Park. We hiked 2.7 km with a 135 m elevation gain along the Green River - which lived up to its name. We were amazed as a motorboat 'flew' over the river towards the waterfalls, admiring the steering skill between the rocks. We had never seen anything like it before.
Continuing on the way to Whistler, we were once again amazed by the great views on the 'Sea-to-Sky' Highway! What a fitting name!
Around noon, we settled into our spot at 'Whistler RV Park and Campground' and it was time to do laundry again.
In the late afternoon, we headed towards Whistler Village, successfully secured an RV parking spot, and strolled into the town to meet our friends who just happened to be in Whistler at the same time. We spent the evening together enjoying a good meal at the restaurant 'Caramba'. A perfect end to the day.
