Sunrise is later. We leave San Martin de los Andes at 9:00 am. It is dark and thick clouds hang over the lake, which we remembered quite differently. A short detour to Cerro Chapelco is a must. It's no wonder the ski resort is barely visible. It's drizzling and all seven lakes on the way back through Bariloche have lost their charm. We feel sorry for all the tourists riding in tour buses taking pictures of the rainy landscape.
The mountains are getting higher and higher. The sky brightens slightly before El Bolson. We find our accommodation and visit the crafts market in the town center. Late hippies from all over the world seem to have gathered there.
Our faces brighten up only when we reach the Lago Puelo National Park. We ended up walking 9 kilometers that day, which wasn't expected after the gloomy start.
