A sparkling start to a new adventure

The flight from Munich to Verona started late, which gave me the opportunity to admire a true dream of lights in the form of a sparkling starry sky. In the distance, gigantic natural spectacles were unfolding: A thunderstorm lighting up the entire sky could be observed from the plane. An impressive scene!
After the exciting day yesterday, today began with my first day of work, starting with breakfast and a subsequent briefing at the reception. The nervousness was quite significant and held me back in some places. I am curious to see how the next days and weeks will develop. Only after my shift did I realize how strong the air conditioning in the hotel actually was. However, I did not let the heat deter me and set off to the old town to gather my first impressions of this wonderful city. And what can I say? I am overwhelmed. In the first few minutes, I couldn't take a step without taking photos, as every angle revealed a different splendor hidden behind the building in front of me.With a small snack – in the form of the best chocolate ice cream I have ever had – I explored the Museo and the Ponte di Castelvecchio, the Portoni della Brà, and the Arena di Verona, until hunger finally brought me to my knees. Here, communication worked much better.
Unfortunately, it was also time to catch the last bus. So, I wandered back through the increasingly darkening alleys and almost got overlooked by the bus driver. However, instead of a night walk, he safely dropped me off at the hotel – a casa.
