Hello lovelies! ☺️
What could be better than writing a new blog post on an overcast fall Sunday? 🍁🍂 Especially as it really is about time again... 😉
I'd better start where I left off in the last blog post. On September 7th, me and a friend went to Walchensee and Kochelsee, which is almost right next to it. As you know, I have a little challenge in which I want to try to see all the lakes in the south of Bavaria in the six months I'm doing my internship here. I'm well on track so far. I've currently been able to explore 10 lakes. 😊🥾 I have to say that Walchensee is one of the most beautiful lakes down here. Next to the Eibsee, of course. 🙊 We took the cable car up to the top, from where you have a fantastic view of Lake Walchensee. Once at the top, you can look down to Walchensee on one side and Kochelsee on the other. A really pretty area! 😍 The sunset that day was also really beautiful. ☀️
On September 10, I met up with friends from America. They were just here to explore Germany. I have to say that I'm not really good as a tour guide. But I blame that on the fact that I don't know my way around Munich that well myself. So it was really funny because we kept getting lost on the S-Bahn. 😂 Nevertheless, we had a really cool time together and I'm always happy when someone comes to visit me anyway, and then from so far away. 🙃
On the same day, I also received my university results from the previous semester. I did quite well so far, but I was really shocked by one exam. I told you about the media law exam, where I actually had a really good feeling. I really rattled through my first exam. So friends, don't always rely on your gut feeling, it can be completely different. 😅 I have to retake the exam I messed up in the 6th semester. It happens from time to time... Well, I still think that things weren't quite right. 😉 The bummer about the whole thing: I was one point short of passing. Do I now see this as an opportunity to do better or would I rather have just passed? 🤔😂
Well, as dull as life is sometimes, I always look forward to little trips where I can switch off and think in peace. That's really possible here in Munich. It's not as quiet as Ansbach. 😜 On September 21, I went on a trip with my flatmate and her sister. We went to the Staffelsee. We cycled once around the entire lake and then stopped for refreshments at an inn. 🍛🍲 We also spontaneously took a little boat out on the lake. 🛶
The next day, the streets were full. That's because there was the Oktoberfest parade. Lots of horse-drawn carriages and stalls paraded through Munich's city center.
But now let's move on to my internship at ProSieben. My highlight so far has definitely been filming with Heiner Lauterbach and Uwe Ochsenknecht for a TV show. Unfortunately, I can't tell you exactly what it was about. It was just cool to be part of a celebrity shoot. 😇
Before I tell you about my next sea story and we're talking about my internship anyway, I'll tell you about my other two highlights. They were 1-2 weeks ago. I was allowed to be an extra on a TV shoot. Extras are the people who jump around in the background of the action. So I can add a catch here too. It was a promotional clip for the new season of The Masked Singer. You've probably seen it or heard of it. It's coming out at the end of November, that's already certain. We filmed with Palina Rojinski, Rea Garvey and Matthias Opdenhövel - it's already known that they're part of the show 🙂
The last cool thing I was able to experience was the GNTM (Germany's Next Top Model) fashion show. I was in the audience. It was also filmed here in Munich. Also for the next season. Definitely exciting to watch. So: if you ever see me on TV, you now know why. More information about the broadcast of both shoots will follow. 🙃
I also had my first rotations at work. At the Digital Buzzroom, I was able to learn how to research topics and how to edit articles for the online world in a very short space of time. 📱🖥️
At the end of September, we went to Chiemsee. A good friend from Ansbach came to visit me for the weekend. We also went on a short boat trip with a slightly smaller group. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't so good. ☁️☔️ But that didn't spoil our mood. We first went to Fraueninsel, where we walked around and then to Herreninsel, where we visited the castle. 🏰
As it was already the beginning of October and I hadn't even made it to the Oktoberfest yet, I thought I had to go there at least once to see it. 🍻 It's reminiscent of a big funfair with all the rides. 🎡🎠 But I didn't stay there for long. It was getting colder and colder.
I'd say I'll continue with another trip to a lake. The next lake in the series was the breathtaking Eibsee near the Zugspitze. 🗻 I don't want to tell you too much, just let the beautiful pictures speak for themselves. The water is so clear and shimmers in its most magnificent colors. There is space here to let God's creation take full effect on you. 🌲🌿🦆 On this trip to the lake, I was once again in good company with a friend from Munich.
Let's move on to my last two visits to the lake so far. It's getting colder and colder and the days are often cloudy. I already miss the sun. 🥲 Nevertheless, I want to spend a lot of time in the fresh air in my free time and these lakes are just perfect for that. 😃 I'm talking about the Ammensee and the Wörthsee. Both great lakes too. They would probably look even more beautiful in the sunshine. But I like to quote Forrest Gump who said: 'Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.' 😉 I was there yesterday. It takes quite a long time to get there by train. I think it was around 2 hours. 🙈 After the Ammersee, I took the bus to Wörthsee and then sat down for a while in the Seehausen Raabe and slurped some pumpkin soup. 🥣🎃 Perfect for warming up. ☺️
What else is coming up these days? Yes, definitely my birthday next Friday and a visit from my parents. 😇 Let's see if we can go to a lake too? It's certainly not out of the question. 😂 We'll just go with the weather...
I have my next rotation in the newsroom on Wednesday. 📰 I'm looking forward to it! 🤩
So, you're all up to date again. I hope my posts have some added value for you: be it marveling at God's creation, reflecting on certain topics or simply hearing from someone that things don't always run smoothly in life and that this is normal. Sometimes it helps me to know that others also have difficult phases. Everyone has to carry their own baggage. Some more, some less. We don't have to be perfect in this world, even if we often think we are or are told we are. We can simply feel loved by the one who created us. 🤗🌎
That was really deep at the end. Well, just know that in my blog I always try to show both sides, the good/positive things and the not so good/negative things, because it's just real. ❣️
With these thoughts, I bid farewell to today's blog entry and send you off into what I hope will be a wonderful and eventful week for you! 🙏🏻
See you next time 🙋🏼♀️
