Chill excursion

Gepubliceerd: 17.11.2018

Good evening,

We're back in the game after a saaaau exhausting day.

When we had breakfast this morning, we were still sure that we'd rent a scooter. However, after reading some reviews on the internet, we weren't so sure anymore ๐Ÿ˜…. Then, while having breakfast, we met a couple from Germany and asked them if they have any idea about riding scooters. With their advice, we finally decided against it, because we want to live a bit longer ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ.

But no big deal, we ordered a taxi with the two of them and drove to the tomb of Khai Dinh.

The tomb itself was actually really small contrary to our expectations, but it still looked amazing. Not so restored from the outside, but very impressive from the inside with all the mosaic and patterns.

However, we were done in just 15 minutes (and we actually took our time ๐Ÿ˜‚). After that, we searched for the pagodas we couldn't find yesterday. And guess what, this time we actually found them. Unfortunately, it was a construction site ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Afterwards, the two Germans accompanied us to the market and then said goodbye because they were going further. We went to the market to search for sunglasses (Lara threw hers into the sea and Jasna's wasn't so fresh anymore ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๐Ÿ˜‚). After walking through a warehouse with 628871871 stands for what felt like an eternity, we finally found one (only for โ‚ฌ3.50, easy ๐Ÿ˜Ž and Yves Saint Laurent perfume, of course original, for โ‚ฌ5 ๐Ÿ˜‚).

After having something to eat (just a little because it was too hot โ˜€โ˜„), we went back to the hotel to rent bicycles. When we got them (they were junk piles, we were afraid Lara's bike would fall apart), we started off to the Tu Duc Tomb.

7 kilometers of cycling in 33 degrees (in the blazing sun of course) is extremely exhausting, we were really tired afterwards ๐Ÿ˜‚.

The mausoleum was much bigger than the last one, it was a complete park with several tombs, looked really beautiful. But if you've seen one, you've seen them all ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Because going to the last mausoleum would have been so far and we really didn't want to ride it all back in the heat, we started our way back. We wanted to visit the Tiger Arena, but surprise, surprise, it was closed due to construction work ๐Ÿ˜…. So we went on to the Thien Mu Pagoda. Thank God, it wasn't under construction. We took a break there and had an iced coffee. Then we went back to the hotel, we just wanted to take a shower and chill ๐Ÿ˜‚.

But we motivated ourselves again to go out for dinner. We found a cafรฉ/restaurant/bar that was actually really cool. Actually. Optically and price-wise great (even taste-wise, the food was really good), but they messed up because they forgot one order. Not a big deal in itself, it can happen ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€. But unfortunately, they only realized it after we told them four times (everyone knows how much we love waiting forever for food ๐Ÿ˜‚). Well, in the end, we only had to pay for one. Although we weren't quite sure if they messed up again or if they actually gave it to us for free ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๐Ÿ˜‚. Then we went to another bar and had a drink (interesting music, from Venga Boys to Modern Talking, everything was playing ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜‚). Now we're off to bed, we're dead tired.

So good night and have a nice Saturday, seeeee ya
