Today after a good breakfast, we were supposed to go to Yerevan. However, the hotel owner Arman identified some potential improvements in the transporter and welded my distance nuts, which were previously carried as loose accessories, to the door latches. It works much better now.
As it turned out, he is actually a mechanical engineer, but took over his father's forge.
Then I thanked him with a small token of appreciation from the abundant contents of the transporter. In return, he gave me pickled vegetables and jam that he made himself. It's a vicious cycle, I actually wanted to get rid of something...
We first drove to Dilijan and bought a SIM card. It took 10 minutes and I had a flat rate for a month for about 11 euros. No idea what the problem was with the other card yesterday.
Ben and I then visited the monasteries Haghartsin, Goshavank, and Sevanavank. The latter is located near Lake Sevan, it's really worth seeing, very impressive.
Then we continued towards Yerevan. Yerevan feels huge, I have to take a closer look at it.
We probably approached the last few minutes on the worst side street in the whole city, often even walking pace was too much. You shouldn't always trust Google Maps in this world.
We ended up at Ben's friends' place, where I can also park the transporter for the next few days.
Then we went to the White House Hotel, where we had a good dinner.
All in all, it was a beautiful day...
Today we covered 167 km.
