The location of the current school is in the town of Bupadhengo. It is about 3 km from the main road and next to the school grounds there are residential houses. Unlike most other schools we have seen, there is no fence or wall around the school grounds. This is a significant disadvantage, as some of our donated school benches have already been stolen. Therefore, a guard now lives on the premises to keep watch.
There are two permanent buildings. One has a small room used as an office and storage space. Several classrooms are connected to it. On the roof, there is a small solar panel that provides a little power, but no longer performs particularly well.
Additional classrooms are in wooden structures that cannot be locked. The blackboards are attached to corrugated metal walls that can be opened, allowing for a larger space to be created if needed.
