Couchsurfing in Lloret

Diterbitkan: 04.11.2021

When I wake up from the construction work, I am even more grateful for my van life, where in most cases I have the idyllic nature as a background noise in the morning.

I am the first one awake in the flat of two Argentinians who work here as lifeguards in Lloret.

I meet Edu, the roommate of my CS host Miguel, when he brings me a cup of tea in the living room in the morning. :) Then he's already on his way to work.

Miguel has his first day off after 20 days today. We have breakfast together and he is excited about my porridge breakfast.

I am grateful for the offer to do laundry here and I am also very happy about the warm shower, especially on such a cold rainy day.

The apartment is only 2 minutes away from the main beach in Lloret. The shops, restaurants, and bars give an idea of the atmosphere here in the summer. Currently, it's dead quiet. When the sun comes out briefly, Miguel and I take the opportunity for an exploration tour. When we are at the beach, the sun rays come out from behind the dark clouds and create a unique, somewhat mystical atmosphere. I love such unique sky pictures. <3

Since we are hungry again, we warm up with 10 small tapas in one of the restaurants that serves warm food in the afternoon.

For the evening, we want to cook something. The shopping trip feels like a 2-hour excursion. (There are actually people who are even slower than me and take even longer to make decisions. :-D) On the other hand, despite a restless sleep, I feel very energetic and focused today, which may also be due to my meditative start to the day. Every day of this journey brings me a new realization, today it is above all the ability to simply "let things be good" and to accept what is happening right now. It makes me so content and free...

It will be a very fun evening con los argentinos. :) We cook vegetarian stuffed tortillas and quesadillas. My biodegradable soap nuts also bring some laughter. And my Spanish is good enough to keep up with the Argentinian flow of speech. Yeah :)
