Today we rented bikes.
The rental station is about a 5-minute walk from our accommodation. So it’s perfect.
On top of that, the bikes were in top condition and for mountain biking, 25€/day is really reasonable.
Thanks to Google and recommendations from locals, we set off with a somewhat existing tour plan.
Unfortunately, we deviated from the route a bit at first and found ourselves right by the Sava River.
There, we could initially test the off-road capability of the Scott bikes and ride smoothly along the shore, before we had to try the pushing properties as well.
But we eventually returned to the planned route and tackled the mountain pass 'Talez'. The sun was blazing but we pushed our way up. It’s alpine terrain, even though the 'summit' was 752m above sea level. Still quite a steep ascent. Huge praise to my sweetheart.
Finally reaching the top, we could enjoy the view with delicious cold drinks.
The descent was no less spectacular. You really had to focus your thoughts.
But everything worked out. After a small bonus ascent, we then cycled back to Bled.
Bikes returned and cut off.
Now we hopefully go for a nice meal...
