After about 4 hours of driving, we crossed the border into Death Valley.
For several kilometers, there was no civilization in sight, and now we were driving deeper into nothingness.
At Dantes View, we made our first stop and were amazed to see the entire Death Valley in front of us.
Our route took us past Zabriskie Point, which offered us a completely different and beautiful natural spectacle.
On the Artists Drive, which winds through the mountains, we drove for several kilometers and were able to catch a glimpse of the fascinating Artists Palette. These are rocks that have different minerals and shimmer with colors as a result.
Our journey continued to Badwater Basin. At 41 degrees Celsius and 86 meters below sea level, we marveled at the dried-up, salt-covered landscape.
After an average of 40 degrees Celsius, several liters of water, and more than 3 hours in Death Valley, we set off for Las Vegas!
