The breakfast at Hotel Rosenkranz was delicious. On the bike and off towards Leipzig. In Leipzig, I cycled along the water on a bike path directly to the center. Suddenly there was a detour and I had to switch to the road, and I accidentally got my bike stuck in a tram track and fell on the road. Luckily, there happened to be a firefighting rescue vehicle behind me, which stopped immediately. Fortunately, I only had a few scratches and there was nothing wrong with the bike. I continued to the center until I reached the Gewandhaus. I got off the bike and had to collect myself. I had a coffee and got something from the pharmacy to disinfect the wounds. After 1 hour, I cycled out of Leipzig on bike paths. I continued on country roads, passing Delitzsch, until I reached Bad Düben. Unfortunately, I had to cycle on Bundesstraße 2 for 12 km through the Dübener Heide. Finally, there were bike paths again, and suddenly I was on a sandy forest path. I came to a beautiful excavation lake and was approached by walkers. I told them about my bike tour and they wished me a safe journey.
Only 10 km to Wittenberg!
We continued on cobblestone pavement on the old Wittenberger Straße. Finally, we crossed the Elbe and I arrived in Wittenberg after nearly 90 km. I quickly showered at the guesthouse and headed to the city center to visit Martin Luther.
