The baroque Royal Palace of Caserta (Italian: Palazzo Reale, also known as Reggia in Italian) in Italy's Caserta, about 40 kilometers north of Naples, is one of the largest palaces in Europe and was built as a residence for the Bourbons for their rule over the Kingdoms of Naples and Sicily.
