Oh dear, my feeeeet! But never mind, back into the sneakers, we haven't seen everything in Stockholm yet!
On the second day, our program included the open-air museum Skansen, the Gröna Lund Tivoli (amusement park), and the Sky View. We also wanted to explore the city with the hop-on-hop-off buses and boats.
Skansen is amazing! A large green oasis in the middle of the city, with a spacious zoo and old buildings from various eras all over Sweden. We saw a wolf and bear and reindeer babies, an old post office where elderly ladies dressed in traditional costumes baked thin flatbread... It felt like traveling back in time.
Unfortunately, the second item on our agenda, Gröna Lund Tivoli, was closed 🙄. (It seems like there's always construction or attractions are closed wherever we go 😡). Speaking of construction: If we had taken the other subway exit yesterday, we wouldn't have had to wander around the station like lost souls 🤣. This time, we found the right one.
Well, at least we still managed to catch the last boat from Gröna Lund and sailed back to T-Centralen. "If we hurry, we can still make it to SkyView!"
SkyView is located a bit outside the city center, so we had to transfer to another subway line. But it's no problem at all, everything is very organized and we never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a train. Swedish punctuality! Our "Bremer Straßenbahn AG" could really learn something from that!
When we arrived, we were disappointed to find out that the last rides were already full 😕. But the friendly lady booked tickets for us for the next day, even though our Stockholm Pass technically no longer valid.
