Saturday morning it was time to say goodbye - and full speed ahead! Because between Innset and my future farm near Sollia were about 1300 km. My arrival was scheduled for Tuesday, so we had 3 overnight stays on the way. Our vehicle? Of course, a Dodge RAM with spikes and 4-wheel drive! Haha, okay, not really - a Toyota Prius Hybrid had to do, but at least with winter tires ;) And contrary to expectations, this strange car really got us ahead! There was no snow in the north ;) Although the weather was not always kind to us, and we drove through thick gray soup for many hours... but we were compensated with breathtaking landscapes. Our route led us through various national parks, huge snowscapes, endless forests, deep fjords, along rushing rivers
and right up to the Norwegian coast. We even encountered a reindeer herd and a moose cow! My personal highlight - seeing the sun again after 3 weeks :) We spent last night in a private apartment in Trondheim with a breathtaking view of the city. This morning we woke up to a full load of snow - Trondheim was covered in a thick white blanket overnight. The car held up bravely, and in the afternoon we actually reached our destination. Even though we stumbled upon the farm by chance, as the GPS would have guided us another 20 km further. It was still bright until around 4:30 PM here - a big change, considering that in Innset a headlamp was needed from 3:00 PM. So Christian let the drone rise for the last time and I got acquainted with my new home. Photos and more information will follow soon, but the first impression is definitely a good one :) The second act starts - and gives hope for a happy ending...
