Long time no hear from Toni. I was in a fit of rage and moving stress, but now I have arrived in León and would like to quickly tell you about the events of the past few weeks, so I'll quickly check off the events of the past year. Here, with a drum roll and hopefully a lot of fun: Ass No. 2
Where did we leave off? Oh yes, the San Juan del Sur rainforest.
Well, while we were still living in SJDS, we took a day trip to the Isla de Ometepe. It is the world's largest volcanic island in a freshwater lake. It consists of two volcanoes, Maderas and Concepción, and is located in Lake Nicaragua.
Nonsense, wrong island with two mountains...
We experienced a lot on this beautiful island in a short time:
We were in a butterfly garden, with many butterflies (surprise!), hummingbirds and other birds,...
... we were at 'Ojo de Agua', a natural swimming pool surrounded by trees - unfortunately, it was quite crowded due to the holidays, but it was still a good refreshment -, ...
... while waiting for our lunch, we enjoyed the sight of horses drinking from the waves in front of a volcano...
... and we were able to watch one of the many breathtaking Nicaraguan sunsets from the ferry back. The ferry was called Che Guevara ;)
Then it was time to say goodbye to our jungle house and quickly go back to the circus school, because I didn't have my passport with me... Everyone greeted me so incredibly lovingly there, that I still get all tingly when I just think about it - oh man, I miss my circus gang.
Afterwards, albeit briefly, we went to the Lagune de Apoyo. After all, I had to show you my favorite place in Nicaragua!
That's all for the second ace up my sleeve. Three birds with one stone. Nice to write it down again. It was a good time. The continuation is coming soon. We are approaching the present.
Hasta luego!
