We are in paradise 💙
The last two exhausting weeks have been worth it. We are on the island of Tjärö, surrounded by other islands. The area is fantastic. The journey here went smoothly. There are hardly any bigger distances between the islands, so it's quick. The docking facilities here are exciting. Today we are moored at the only pier on the island, there is no real port here. Consequently, there are also no berths, so you tie up at the front of the pier and at the back to an anchor buoy. We managed to do that right away 😁
After our arrival, we were initially a bit surprised by the crowds of people, until we realized that there is a ferry at the end of the pier that takes day tourists to the mainland. So it's not that lonely here during the day. We turned the situation into an advantage, inflated our dinghy and simply drove to a spot with a blanket and food where no pedestrians can go 🙃 Lovely.
In the evening, it's really peaceful here. You can even go to the sauna for free. We will stay here for another day tomorrow and try something new: we will sail from the pier to the next bay and moor directly to the rocks, just like a few others. There are rings in the rocks for that. I'm curious if we can manage that. However, going to the toilet or on land can only be done by dinghy.
