I don't want to complain, but today I was really bored in the project because we didn't have anything to do except for handing out the backpacks. Maybe to spread out the whole thing, the children should appear at their usual class times. Because so many of us were standing around, the tasks automatically divided into the smallest units: one person handed out the backpacks, the next one distributed the self-made Christmas cards, Keeley took a photo with the backpack and greeting card (the donors will receive them by email), another person had the coupons for the pizza and candy that will be given out at the Christmas party on Monday. Done. Off we go. It only took 10 minutes, but the next children didn't come until the next full hour.
Only Keeley was fully occupied. "Keeley, there were no shoes in my backpack!" - "Keeley, the skirt (note from the editor: the school uniform) is too small for me!" - "Keeley, the strap is torn!" - In between, there are mothers with concerns, inconsolable children, and phone calls. All school uniforms and shoes were stolen from one class. Everyone always calls for Keeley (not just today), who has an answer for everything with stoic calm and is never annoyed. Hats off!
I'm off tomorrow. I don't have any plans except for writing a blog. Maybe I'll go to the butterfly farm outside the city (is anyone laughing?). It's strange that it's strange to have nothing planned.
Temperature 31 degrees, windy, partly cloudy.
