The journey through Norway begins
My return journey begins on 31.07.2021 with a drive from Trondheim to Kristiansand. Along the way, I see some places where I hiked in the previous weeks. It's really beautiful. After 18 hours, I arrive back in Kristiansand. I can sleep at a fellow student's place before my trip to Germany.
Back in Kristiansand
I enjoy the time in Kristiansand, go into the city, take the opportunity to go into the forest, and pick up my remaining luggage. It feels really nice to be back in the place where I called home for half a year. Everything feels so familiar and cozy.
Continuing to Denmark
As I sit in the ferry terminal with my negative test result and wait for the ferry, I realize that my time in Norway is finally over. I board the ferry and sit by the window. We leave the port in Kristiansand and I enjoy the view of the island Odderøya and the city one last time. Tears almost come to my eyes, but I am also very excited to see my family and friends. The ferry arrives in Hirtshals after just two hours and 15 minutes. From there, I take two buses to get to the train station in Hirtshals.
Welcome to Germany
I drive through Denmark and eventually arrive at Hamburg Altona train station. Since I am running late, I have to go to the information desk to get a new train connection. At first, I am very confused because everyone around me is speaking German, which I am not used to.
With a delay of 50 minutes, I arrive in Kassel where my dad is waiting for me. We pick up the rest of my luggage at Sara's place and then continue home.
After 23 hours, I finally arrive and happily, yet sadly, fall into bed.
I would like to thank everyone once again who made this time possible, without all of you, none of this would have been possible.
Thank you also to all of you who have been reading this blog and stayed until the end.
Until the next adventure,
Your Maike :D
