Next to Laguna de Rocha is La Paloma, a small resort village. Generally, the coast is characterized by holiday villages, where the holiday homes of Uruguayans, Brazilians, and Argentinians stand. In La Paloma, we had great weather and Jonas went surfing, he was also visited by dolphins here.
When he came back, a little mishap happened to me. I couldn't find the key to the car anymore, so I thought it was in the car. A nice couple tried to open our car with us, but that was naturally unsuccessful. So we had to call a locksmith, who promised to come in a Uruguayan half hour. 2 hours later (in the meantime it started raining) he finally came. He opened the car for us, but we didn't find the key. End of the story, I lost the key on the beach and later found it there again. The only consolation was that opening the car with 20 dollars was pretty cheap.
Since there was a go-kart race in La Paloma the next day, we decided to stay there for another night. We were able to camp here in a parking lot at the harbor that was guarded by the Navy at night.
