This time we deliberately did not choose any 'sun pictures', although it is midsummer here and the six-week summer holidays have just started.
The beautifully red blooming Pohutukawa grows very commonly here on the coast. While we wait for snow at Christmas in Germany, the New Zealanders are waiting for the Pohutukawa to bloom. That's why the tree is also called Christmas Tree here.
We wish everyone at home a peaceful Christmas and harmonious hours with family. We will probably spend our Christmas days less atmospheric on the beach and think of you.
At this point, we would like to thank all our 'blog readers' for their loyalty and the many positive comments. It is always nice to receive feedback on our photos and reports. Thank you very much and see you soon
