Even though the Amalfi Coast certainly can't be classified as "unknown paths" in our concept, everyone who is nearby should not miss this gem. A dream road along the coast - especially on a Vespa. So, in addition to Amalfi, we visit the beautiful Positano and after what feels like an eternity, head towards Naples - always with Mount Vesuvius to our right. After a midday break in the Centro Storico, the scorching heat urges us to find an air-conditioned place to stay. We find it in Pozzuoli. Not necessarily the first choice.
But apparently, it is the first choice for the local NATO headquarters. A lieutenant colonel stationed here, who is also a Vespa rider, was so impressed by our ride that he buys us a round of Peroni and informs us about the current situation in Europe. That's also good. Equipped with all the tips for this region, we spend a nice evening at Capo Miseno, which comes with the usual chaotic Neapolitan Sunday evening traffic. No city compares to this collective car and scooter collapse. It's a miracle that the hospitals aren't overflowing with traffic accident victims every evening. Somehow it seems to work after all.
